My whole gripe isn't that people sell these it's that they can do it here when you can't do it with the tickets. If you can't get more for one item and not for another, that's just dumb in my opinion. Especially when it is raping a fellow 10 club for $240 for something that cost less than $20. Trust me I would never sell my tickets because I'd rather see the band but it just seems hypocritical to allow people to make $220 profit on something, but you can't sell your tickets for $20 more. Think about how ass backwards that is.
I think it has been explained by the mods before in more detail and far better:
The ITW LP is a very limited press (making it a instant collectible), the same music you find in the LP is on CD and itunes, so if you don't own the LP there's other ways to get the music, so if you want to buy an ITW lp you're buying a collectible (a high sough after item with a very low quantity of LP), why is not the same with the tickets? well tickets are not collectibles and they're good just for the day of the concert.

Yet selling it for that kind of money doesn't have to be allowed here, which is my point.

Like i say is a collectible, why here? well this is the place where some of the fans meet over the interwebs, why they allow it? well because in the "rules" we all agree to be part of the forum there's nothing about collectibles but there's rules about selling tickets over face value.

so ill not bring up the itw pic disc then...opps i have..i paid alot more then $240 for it as well
I'm done with this thread. Keep getting ripped off. In the meantime know that if I have something you will just have to trade an equal item or pay cost or below cost like the lucky person I sold the Europe 2000 set for. Keep on ripping off fellow 10 club members, I hope you feel good about yourselves.

I don't care that you or anyone pay the prices, I just don't think it should be allowed to be networked through this message board. It should be a trade only or buy for a fair price that doesn't exceed 10-20% greater than the original price. We are all 10 clubbers here and shouldn't rip each other off here. If you want to waste $240 on something that was $20 fine, so be it. I just don't think that taking advantage of other members should be allowed on the message boards. If you want to sell a $35 poster for $40 fine. If you want 80, try your luck on ebay. It basicly just allows scalpers to become members, buy 10 posters at the shows they get tickets to and a license to make $3000 of of Pearl Jam licensed goods.

i see your point but there's always going to be somebody on here who will buy these items at this prices. are they then turning and selling them? are they turning on a turntable where they belong? hope so. still...the board has turned into a giant eBay over the years and it makes the place kinda dodgy to be a part of.

That's my whole point. To stop all of it. If they need help I will volunteer my time. Every other thread is Item for sale for 30 times more than I paid. Do you want a NYC 2 poster, sure for $250. I somehow got 10 at the show because the 85 year old guy selling them didn't realize there was a sign right above it that said limit 2 per customer so now I can turnaround and make $2500 on my $350 investment.
I have an unsealed copy of "Into The Wild" on vinyl that is signed by Eddie (on the front cover). Anyone have any idea what this might be worth? I have no interest in selling it; I just saw this thread and it made me curious. I have no idea whether the signature makes it more or less valuable.
To me thereis a huge difference between products and tickets. A ticket itself is worthless. It's entry for an experience. I think it's wrong to have to fork over a shitload of money to experience your favourite band live. But for a poster, a piece of wax, and hand-sewn hoodie... hey, fair game. No one needs those things. They're more a luxury than the show itself.
At the end of your days- as a PJ fan, will you be thinking back to all the shit of theirs you bought or will you remember the amazing performances you saw?

Actually most vinyl fans will tell you that listening to vinyl sounds alot better than hearing the same album on CD. The music is mastered totally different for vinyl records than it is for compact disc.

Actually...because of vinyl market booming these days, record labels want quick buck and often simply use the cd master when pressing vinyl. I guess that's what happened with Backspacer. So the vinyl won't sound any better than the cd. That's really a shame.

Into the wild was really cool and all.. but not worth almost three hundred bucks to spin on my black circle..... Its a shame though, considering theirs real fans who actual want to listen to it via turn table instead of throwing it in a closet until they decide to sell it to some tard with too much money for three hundred bucks :( I mean its not even a full length album :x
