    When flipping the vinyls......

I find it best to go to the corner pizza joint, and ask if they have an extra pizza box....Then you get home and turn the pizza box inside out...Then you wrap the vinyl in bubble wrap, and place inside the pizza box....Use plenty of shipping tape, so there is no way for water to get in....

Thats what always works best for me....

That's almost $10 per minute. How mighty gracious of you. For $240 maybe you could dip that shipper it came in in platinum for whoever buys it.

I love how people can get on here and scalp the hell out of PJ related merch that was sold on this website, but the second anyone charges $1 more for a ticket all hell breaks loose and seniority and ticket privileges get taken away.

I'm still in a state of shock & awe that my Into The Wild copy that I bought directly from 10club came opened. Did come in though with the clear sleeve for the vinyl case, but it was opened. Was it because they included the 7" single? I'm so puzzled how many that received one from 10club came in sealed, but I heard a few cases where many didn't get them sealed from the 10club, like myself. Questions as to why many received those copies that came in the mail opened & many others got them sealed hasn't been answered by anybody yet! :|

The packaging was pretty poor, it was basically like wrapping a sandwich for lunch and hitting the road. I think it's all the eco-friendly stuff they use.... My disc three was jacked up, still waiting for a reply back. Other than that all good..

It's market value. He said upfront what he was looking for it - none of this 'pm me offers and I'll make up my mind' or 'to the highest bidder', using this board as a fee-free ebay. Tickets are a different matter. The rules of the board say face value only.
  • RedMosquito22RedMosquito22 Posts: 8,158
I'm just saying it is all market value for everything. If one thing can't be scalped nothing should be allowed to be scalped on this board. It's so stupid that something that was $20 can now be sold on the PJ message board for $240. Just make everything face value/trade or nothing at all. That way maybe we can all get posters at the shows we go to. Or maybe tell the vendors to not sell 5 posters to 1 person when there is a 2 poster limit like they did at msg 2.

Mine was sealed. I have a feeling the wrapping process was just rushed because of the cards being late for shipment.

You know I agree with everything you guys are saying about the vinyl issue but what it comes down to is how many were made and who was quick enough to purcahse it. What someone wants to sale it for afther that is their business. That doesn't just include PJ stuff, that's everyday stuff in general. Don't get me wrong, I wish I didn't have to pay the price I do for some stuff but I want it and I wasn;t smart enough to grab it the first time round. Supply and demand will always be an issue, that's just business. As far as the posters go what can we do? You just gotta hope you get one at the show, if not 10c is always looking out for us and they throw some more on here later. The vendors could give two shits how many posters people buy, it's about the profit, and once again if you want it bad enough you gotta get it.. Just my two copper pennies worth..

Sure, just like the tickets.. Only so many can be sold for each venue, whoever is lucky enough to grab one first rite on.. That's almost every band in general, when your that big and have a following like PJ it's gonna happen. At least they are a band that gives you your $$$'s worth. Trust me, there have been times I was unable to go to a show cause I didn't get tics fast enough and wasn't going to pay what people were trying to sale them for. In the end I honestly don't care, PJ is my favorite band so if I have to shell out a few extra for something so be it. One of these day's we won't be so lucky to have them around, life moves on...

Where in the 10c terms does it say you can't sell merch for what it's worth?

My whole gripe isn't that people sell these it's that they can do it here when you can't do it with the tickets. If you can't get more for one item and not for another, that's just dumb in my opinion. Especially when it is raping a fellow 10 club for $240 for something that cost less than $20. Trust me I would never sell my tickets because I'd rather see the band but it just seems hypocritical to allow people to make $220 profit on something, but you can't sell your tickets for $20 more. Think about how ass backwards that is.

I gotcha man... I see what your saying. Maybe it's just becasue it was a Sony thing and that's a big f you to them from PJ as far as merchandise goes, IDK. I think it's just more of the fact all the BS they went thru with Ticket Master and everyone getting ripped off for tics. They just want to keep a stronghold on that here as well since we are their loyal followers!!!! Their trying to help us here, not destroy us,,,

How is allowing someone to make $220 profit on a record helping the person buying it though? I'm just saying that if you aren't going allow reselling of tickets than just make the site a trade only type of deal and if you want to scalp your merch do it elsewhere. Some people do it for good reasons but it just makes it ok for the dopes/ticket scalper 10 club members(and yes they do exist only to make profit off of us)guys to come on here and sell their merch on here instead of ebay and ripping people off. I don't care how in demand that record is, it isn't worth that much money and everyone knows it. I swear this site used to be trade only back in the day but I could be wrong. How would people like it if PJ only made 1,000 copies of each boot and started selling them for $500 each? Would you start feeling ripped off then? Of course you would and there would be 10,000 complaint threads about it.
