i've been watching, too, waiting and now they don't even have a scroll at all anymore!

they only have a blurb on their website but it downplays it

24 hour news at it's finest! Up to the minute reporting of world events that matter! So who's opening for Lionel Richie then?

is it normal for cnn and msnbc to have no scroll at all?? i guess if not they will say it was out of respect for veterans and memorial day or some horseshit.

msnbc is co-owned by GE who makes weapons and it's been proven cnn employed people from military intelligence and psy-ops units as editors and other functions in the past

Oh byrnzie, you got to watch it bro. Yitzak pearlman is opening up for him. Hahahaha. God damn this country's so called freedom of press bullshit. How ironic, on a holiday declared to remember the fallen soldiers who died for our FREEDOM, our country and the world seem to want to wipe the Palestinians out of everybody's memory. What a country, what an aly, what a great friend we are to the great state of Israel. You citizens of Israel should be embarrassed and ashamed of what's being done in YOUR name.....

    so as of now

msnbc has meet the press on and there is no scroll
cnn has something about veterans and no scroll
cnn hln (headline news) has on showbiz tonight and the scroll is all about buying podcasts on itunes, becoming a fan on facebook, follow them on twitter, sign up for their mailing list....headline news, news and views indeed

who'da thunk it that fox would be the only one with a mention (in a scroll) during a repeat of fox news sunday talking about don't ask, don't tell

Actually does anyone really expect American media to tell us what we really need to know? How many days went by before I saw serious pictures and coverage coming from the Gulf spill? How many people die in African continent civil wars and famine each day and we never hear? Iran, N Korea, Russia, EC...all serious places with serious shit going on .... I am glad we get Nancy Grace, Joy Behar (what a moron), American Idol coverage, blah blah...its really disgusting. I don't buy (totally) we get the news we deserve...they give us crap and we don't know or remember what a steak tastes like.

BP said there was no leak for 7 days after the accident. and there was no camera down there for people to view until day 23, so what are you asking?? are you saying you are happy to be given distractions instead of hard news?? if that is what you want then you are in the right place. if you want hard news, then i suggest watching the bbc channels because your own media is never going to give you the truth you search for....

I thought it was inherently clear that I was bitching about the lack of "hard" news. In one word I can describe the problem - corporation. The media has a job to do in our American system and its protected by the US Constitution....and they don't do their job because they lost sight a long time ago that their job is vital for democracy. But I guess they think their job is to entertain us, and I feel dumber for it.

It's all over the news here (UK/European news) - top story. At least 10 dead - possibly up to 19, 30 injured. Images and all. This news censoring in the US is really shameful. Turkey saying Israel in violation of international law. Israel justify their action (of course). They are also showing images of protests in Istanbul.

I'm not surprised that americans have a very limited (and twisted?) view of the world.

I got Larry King talking to American Idol contestants, Nancy Grace talking about the Jon Benoit Ramsey murder and the perv in Thailand who wanted to crawl inside her casket and make love to the 6 year old's body, death TV on MSNBC (some kidnapping murder story), and Fox is doing WWII history (sort of news worthy).

But its morning in Europe so maybe that's the problem. We have to wait for the sun to come up.

Wait, newsflash....being reported in a news blip on MSNBC before returning to Sex Stalker. I take it all back.
