it's been on the bench too long.
i'm not talking about rare songs, i'm talking about songs that completely DISAPPEARED off setlists. not even 1 performance in years.

thumbing my way
all or none
help, help
bu$hleaguer
get right

WHY!? this seems to be the only album where this is the case.
not to mention, though they have showed up here and there, the following riot act songs have become extremely rare as well:

ghost
cropduster
love boat captain

i wonder why they have neglected or forgot about songs from riot act (incredible ones) more then any other album. and PLEASE don't give me that -"because riot act sucks" shit. it does not suck. it's phenomenal. also, this is not a complaint at all. i saw 4 UNBELIEVABLE shows this year and i think their setlists now are better then ever. just a little observation.
2006: Hartford

Ghost is a top 5 song for me, and I don't think it's been played since the Mansfield experiment on the RIOT ACT tour.

I was hoping to see Can't Keep at one of my 4 shows this year but that's another one that hasn't made an appearance since Hartford 08.

    2008- Boston I+II

the studio version is odd and not that great. live it is amazing.
but even forgetting bu$hleaguer ... thumbing my way and all or none are INCREDIBLE and have vanished!

  • Riot Act is great...really great!!... i mean all or none is beauty and full of melancholy and have a great solo at the end... 1/2 full has one of the best lines ever "don't see some men as half empty, see them half full of shit"... the i am mine lyrics are one of the greatest i ever heard, love boat captain is so damn preatty and intense, thumbing my way touch my soul and i like the rythim of get right...

well i think you get the point right?

I love Riot Act but I think even the band realizes it's their least appreciated album. Some of em may even feel its their weakest effort. I think this is why their last two albums have had a lot of heavy rock and pop songs on them and have been promoted by the band as "getting back to their roots". I think the band was really hurt by the reaction they got after releasing Riot Act. I clearly remember seeing a show on the Riot Act tour where half the crowd went to the bathroom during Get Right. Shit it was pretty common of them at that time to play evenflow directly after a song like ghost or green disease to get the crowd lively afterwards.
    Get over here!
  • Riot Act needs to be played more, they should stop playing shit like Sweet Lew and bring back this great album!

Where has Thumbing My Way gone?! Not even Ed's solo shows though it fits perfectly with Into the Wild.

And it would fit in beautifully after Just Breathe. Bring it back!!!

As for LBC, expect at least one performance in Europe. It WILL be played in Berlin.

Can't agree with the hate towards Riot Act either. It's an amazing album which offers a great variety of styles. I would love to hear Thumbing My Way live some day...Oh, and you all love Save You and I Am Mine, don't you?

I've seen Can't Keep open two shows(Cleveland 03 and SC 08) and it was great both times. One of my favorite openers, truly. Save you and I am Mine I love from Riot Act, but the rest is really nothing I'd care to hear now live. I believe I've heard the entire album live at some point, and the songs just didn't do it for me. Trust me, Riot Act songs from PJ beat just about anyone elses best but if I'm going to hear deeper album cuts, I'd rather they be from No Code, Yield, or Binaural.

I was listening to a live version of 'Get Right' the other day (I think it was Uniondale) it was amazing. They really need to put some of these songs back inot rotation.

i enjoy the riot act as well.

    Uniondale ' 03 they performed Bu$hleaguer ,

the crowd reaction ruined that show and the mood,

i hear there were some other gems scratched from the set that night,

    ended kinda abruptly .
