yes, this is true. I'm not a boasting kind of person...but I feel the need to do so now .
I haven't been able to see my girlfriend in quite sometime, since we were able to get together and see the Tampa show...and just last weekend she was here for my brothers wedding and brought me my long awaited birthday present...she managed to find, for $25!!, an original copy of both volumes I & II of the original Vitalogy, published 1919.
I have been trying to acquire this to my collection for a couple of years now...it was literally the best gift ever.
here is a picture of my two books
Cheers,

Why not (V) (°,,,,°) (V) ?
just wanna ask what's inside the book? is it worth reading?
kinakamot ang aking puwit...
me rascando pompis...
krap mijn reet...
boku no ketsuoana o kizu...
bahrosh teezy...
The 1927 edition is on Ebay right now for $100. The original for $25 is quite a steal
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
But where will it all end? Is someone gonna post on here how they've bought the lamb off the cover of Vs?!
PJ albums, at the moment!! -
1,Vs 2,Vitalogy 3,No Code 4,Yield 5,Ten 6,Backspacer, 7Pearl Jam 8,Binaural 9,Riot Act.
I wanted it before I was a PJ fan.
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
I already bought her. She went great with mint jelly.
I would be excited too, I would love to have a first edition of that book (for obvious reasons) what's so wrong about posting that on here, who else than other PJ fans can understand being excited about a gift like that?
Some of you people need to chill
Hey, hey. Wasn't having a pop. Just being light hearted. I respect the fact that people want to understand the band's inspirations. That's why I said it's cool.
I mean I read Daniel Quinn's Ishmael after I heard it was an inspiration to Yield.
victory513 - Lamb & mint jelly, great!

I bought the fence instead of the lamb... figured it would hold up better over time.

It's a really interesting read... I love 'Never marry a man of this type', 'How to become fat or plump', 'The type of women men should shun' and 'To avoid excessive indulgences'... genius
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
I knew it was a book but did NOT know the lettering looked that too!
Very cool
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
nice find and happy birthday!
Congrats and keep in mind with all this time a par from your girlfriend the advice the book gives you about self pollution!

I like this post.
Good choice
I was 16 when Yield came out and my one night with my friends, I unscrewed a Yield sign near one of their houses. I hope no one got in an accident on my part but i still have it and I'm 26. Kind of pissed later when I saw the Yield promos they were selling soon after but at least I can say I got the real thing.
