CBS tourneys get golf channel coverage for 1st 2 rounds. Generally from 2-6. I was questioning how this was Augusta controlling the times. 3 seems late, should be 2:00.Cliffy6745 said:
All the tournaments on NBC get the golf channel coverage from 12-2 or 3 on the weekends. It does suck none of the morning stuff is on this. Does Pebble and the other CBS broadcasts get any Golf Channel coverage? I can't remember but I would think probably not. From 2 on on the weekend is pretty standard for network coverage. Assume they'll have some marquee group and amen corner video streaming tomorrow which will have talk of what else is going on.Indifference71 said:Empty Glass said:
Really? Because 56 minutes of every hour commercial free is pretty lenient. I can remember when they wouldn't show the front nine, but that's been quite some time.Indifference71 said:
It's not about ESPN. Augusta is really particular about how much TV coverage the tournament gets. And I will never understand why.Empty Glass said:
I imagine you'll miss the morning groups. Espn has to have their sport talk shows on where the talkers no nothing about sports.Indifference71 said:Are they still doing the bullshit where there's barely any TV coverage the first 2 days??? I'll never understand that.
Fuck espn
I'm glad that directv and espn finally agreed to have directv subscribers to use watch espn app. I'll be logging in when they go on the air

4.5 hours each for the first 2 rounds that doesnt start until 3pm ET so you miss everything in the morning and early afternoon. Only 4 hours for the 3rd round and 5 hours for the final round. Every other tourney has so much more coverage. But not this one.
But yeah, overall agreed.
Who am I kidding? It should be on all day.

I feel like the majors get more than the standard 4 hour windows on Saturday/Sunday. Usually the first 2 rounds as well.Empty Glass said:

It's not like people wouldn't want to go to Augusta if they had this on TV more. Oh well. Still going to watch every minute I can.0 -

Jordan Spieth is my pick for this weekend. 8 to 1 odds right now for him. Also might throw down a little action on Dustin Johnson at 9 to 1. Tiger is 25 to 1.0

Golf blogger I follow dropped $200 on Reed during the Ryder cup at 100-1. Imagine that?!Indifference71 said:Jordan Spieth is my pick for this weekend. 8 to 1 odds right now for him. Also might throw down a little action on Dustin Johnson at 9 to 1. Tiger is 25 to 1.

You think 25-1 is too high or too low for Tiger? I think he opened at like 30 or 40 to 1 and they've had a lot of action on him so the odds dropped.0 -

Too low. I did see that it dropped. People are suckers for Tiger though. I would love nothing more than for him to win, but I can't envision any scenario in which he does. Right?

Yup 50. That's about right for the number of waitresses that staff a typical IHOP or Denny's in South Florida.eddiec said:
