I'll donate $50 to any PJ charity if they play smile @ MSG!!

WE CAN MAKE SOMEONE ELSE SMILE AND HOPEFULLY PJ READS AND WILL MAKE US SMILE :D:D:D:D

Who else is with me!!!! If begging doesn't work maybe charity will! Lets try to raise at least $1,000!!!!

    i'll put $50 down to hear long road/off he goes at MSG1..been waiting to hear these songs for 2 years SINCE....

    ..i finally got smile at my 10th show (hartford 08) and i was beside myself...got fuckin' up a few songs later which put the icing on the cake so i know how you feel. You just gotta keep hoping and attend enough shows to increase your chances. My gut is telling me they're gonna open w/Long Road at Newark since i dodged a bullet w/Release last nite but im hoping they open w/Wash, HTI, or LBC b/c i've heard those before

    You know, this is an interesting idea to me. What if we (the fans) were to choose a song that many people want to hear, and commit to donating a certain amount if it got played? Clearly the band looks on here for requests from time to time, so if we could all agree on a cause, I'd assume that would probably motivate the band to play that song at the show. Basically, I'm suggesting that MANY of us agree on a show, a song, a charity, and try and make something great happen, with the band's help hopefully!

    i usually agree with a lot of the things you say benjs and i agree with this too...but theres no way we could all agree on the same song especially if ppl are fronting money...cuz we're all after our own holy grails which change from show to show depending on how "lucky" we get

    We already have 2 or 3. People could always post their donation and what they want or jump on songs already on here. Maybe the bans will pick 1, 3 oe even all of them.

    Anyway, even it f they played 1- everyone wins and a great charity gets some $.

    If they play undone, BRY, Brother, and Education at MSG 2..... I will donate ~1/3 of my salary, every year, for the rest of my life. I make a nice living, and this will really help out many people.

    an idea I have been playing with for some time myself.....

    I ran this by the tenclub a long time ago, and they rightly confirmed although the principle is good, it would be a logisistical nightmare as everyone has their own favourite song and they would end up getting inundated.....

    The idea is class in principle....

    The only way this wouldn't be a logistical nightmare is if one particular song per show was picked (in this case, it would be "Smile" I guess) and those who wanted to hear it on that night would agree to donate whatever if it was played. That being said, I'll throw $50 into "Smile."
