Seems like I am the only one not flipping out over this setlist. Some great stuff but I don't think it's legendary or one of the best ever like some seem to be saying.
Any true fan of this band knows that this is a very special show. It very easily could be right up there with the greatest pj sets ever and i was at all 4 philly shows.

Yeah but god forbid that hopethatuchoke would agree with the majority.

That's because this show didn't happen in Philadelphia. Bring this same setlist to one of the shows last year, and you'd be all over it. Admit it! ;)

Seems like the whole tour has been mini versions of the Philly shows.

No, you should still be pissed lol. This setlist is killing me. I guess mostly not because of all the rarities but there are some songs here that I love and am dying to see for the first time (mostly Soldier of Love).

i was thinking that too, until tonight. how they would pull out a token super-rare song or two at each stop. but this one is different.

Damn it, I hate Boston for getting shows like this. Guess I'm going to have to go there and see it myself next tour. Although I made a "pilgrimage" to MSG in 08 for the same reason and I was throughly disappointed that the 2nd night felt like a "repeat" show.

Funny, I "see" all of the sets being very similar. And by similar I mean, very well rounded shows, high energy at some points & laid back at other points, some old songs, some new songs, some "popular' or "hit" songs, and some lesser played songs or rarities.

However, the band manages to keep each show as great as any PJ show can be and makes each show unique in it's own way.

    Sing me a song, you're a singer
Do me a wrong, you're a bringer of evil
The devil is never a maker
The less that you give, you're a taker
So it's on and on and on, it's heaven and hell, oh well

The lover of lifes not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
The sooner you'll know that you're dreaming
So it's on and on and on, oh it's on and on and on
It goes on and on and on, heaven and hell
    I can tell, fool, fool!

Well if it seems to be real, it's illusion
For every moment of truth, there's confusion in life
Love can be seen as the answer, but nobody bleeds for the dancer
And it's on and on, on and on and on....

They say that lifes a carousel
Spinning fast, youve got to ride it well
The world is full of kings and queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
Its heaven and hell, oh well
And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
Its heaven and hell, oh no!
    Fool, fool!

I, for one, am totally and utterly freaking the fuck out about this setlist. without an ounce of shame. i would jerk off to this setlist if i hadn't already done that twice earlier tonight.

This dude, FTW! Hahahha. I'm still at work and this is the first thing I've laughed at in probably 7 hours.
