    why not? its obvious he wasnt serious, and i seriously doubt anyone ever killed themselves because a rock star told them to! its just oversensitive political correctness, and its completely unnecessary to apologize. People shouldnt take every little thing he says as some religious commandment.

    True. No one ever asked Bill Hicks to apologize.

    My opinion is that if someone is prone to take offense at a throwaway, facetious comment at a rock concert or comedy club then they'd be better off staying at home and stroking themselves off in front of Pop Idol, or some Fox News Anchor-woman.
