I'm actually pulling for these guys. I like it when the team no one expects sneaks into the playoffs. It's good for baseball.
i would like to see them at least finish above 500.

play 500 ball during that time and you are in a wild card slot :fp:
As a Pirates fan, I would like to see them make the playoffs, but do they belong there? No, they don't. I'm just praying for a season at or above .500. I'm honestly not really paying much attention either, when football starts, baseball seems to disappear for me.

I'd just like them to get to 83 games. They seemed to be turning the team around, but two collapses in two years, something has to change

Yeah Bob Nutting needs to leave the organization, although its his team so I don't see that happening. The Pirates organization has a lot more money than most people think, but this Nutting guy is a douche bag. He cares about HIS $$$$$$ and not about getting some Ws

seems like the trades killed them. that and pitching slipping again. neil walker being out doesn't help. andrew having a shit august kills.
only bright side i see, is this years collapse started a month later than last years. maybe next year they wait until september to swoon.
The trades were not very good, Snider has been OK, Wandy had a couple decent games, but neither have brought anything. Walker will hopefully be back soon.
I thought the same thing about the collapse, maybe 2013 is the year for the Bucs

lets just go ahead and call it
21 wins to go.
they lasted a month plus longer than last season before melting down....
getting a bit worried now.
pitching is fallling apart
Sid Bream is coming home...
1-5 against the Padres this year, awful. The 6 homes games against the Brewers and Cardinals up next are huge for them.
the pirates are .5 games back of the two wild card spots.
