Looks like Wade got left holding the bag. He must have not watched game film of himself before opting out of $42M or he really believed that James would re-sign with the Heat.

A friend of mine sent me this text:

Cavaliers projected starting lineup could be: Lebron James, Derrick Favors, Rudy Gay, Kevin Love, and Ramon Sessions.
It seems to make a message: Lebron Favors Gay Love Sessions.

Crazy stat: last night was the first time LeBron never had a lead in a playoff game he was involved in.

I'm pretty sure that the Cavs front office knew this was gonna happen? I think he had a option after year 2 of this contract also(which i'm sure he'll have after next season, regardless the length of his next contract, as that's when the BIG TV $$$$ rolls in and the Salary Cap will/should, be higher). I doubt he's going anywhere. He's making a smart business move here, i think.

Whatever he does, I can tell you that he still remembers the kids in his hometown. My kiddo has benefitted from his generosity with the public school system. Plenty of children here have been able to go to his Promise program. (I believe it is for at risk kids going into or coming out of 3rd grade.) He has provided bikes, tablets, computers . . . I honestly don't think he has any intention of leaving, but if he does, he still remembers where he came from and isn't afraid to come back and shower the kids back home with items to help them succeed in school.
