I cannot speak to "Best in PJ History" but I have seen them over 40 times and that was without question ONE of the best I have seen....WHY?
There was something in the air that night FOR SURE...
Energy, Setlist, Crowd, Band, Opener, Energy, Venue, Volume, Good seats, Energy...are all coming to mind for me. :D

The setlist was just insane, and the sonic reducer/baba combo kicked the energy up big time

In Hiding was awesome to hear/watch - crowd was very very loud.

I had mediocre seats and I hated the spectrum, but night 3 was flat out amazing.

Night 4 was more of a celebration, where I like to think of Night 3 as the "real" PJ show.

Plus I had a bunch of douches behind me for Philly 4 so that ruined it for me.

I ran into a lot of rude people at night 4 too. In the encore stretch of the slow songs (just breathe, the end, low light, speed of sound), people in my section were booing and it was really annoying.

I was in the 200s and I ran into the same shit.....

I was standing during the encore and people were yelling at me to sit, but I said F that. So then they started swearing/shouting at me, spitting on my seats, talking shit to me and my (ex) girlfriend, etc......

Oh man that sucks. The people around me seemed like they were there just because it was the last night of the spectrum. They cheered during evenflow and just a couple more songs.

night 3 was awesome sat near Eddies brother and Mike's wife which made the night even more special the crowd was great the setlist awesome everything you want to make it a very special show, only downer was I was by myself. night 4 special because of the length of the setlist the special feeling knowing it was the last spectrum show, the fact they brought out songs hardly ever played or even on or two never played live and the fact my son was with me, all of those reasons made it really special to me! but to pick one over the other I can't do it!

Night 3 was my favorite of the 4 PJ shows. Like everyone mentioned previously the crowd was amazing and the set list just flowed perfectly. I think with it being a Friday night and no World Series game to distract everyone's attention helped. I put it right up there on the top of the 30+ PJ shows I have seen. With that being said it got knocked down a notch after the MSG2 show but that is no sleight. The Spectrum shows were special for everyone who attended. As a New Yorker PJ closed out the Spectrum in style, the people of Philadelphia should be proud. Thank you to PJ and the city of Philadelphia for 4 memorable nights.

Can't see how this could be anywhere near "the best show ever" - I wasn't there, but the band sound very sloppy and unfocussed on the bootleg. It might've been a good experience, but the band were playing well below their normal standard.

Whatever "the best show ever" might be, I'd wager it happened between 1993 and 1998.

How dare you! It rules when Pearl Jam plays sloppy and makes a million mistakes. That's what I paid good money for. That and the confetti and balloons at the end.

He's probably just upset that Philadelphia got the great shows and where ever he's from in PA gets nothing....

Philly 3 was great. Too bad for everyone who doesn't think so.

I'm somewhat bias but my seat for Nite 3 was awesome ;);)

Everyone in that venue was inspired which inspired and fueled the band. It was downright awesome!

I careless about setlists etc etc but was stoked to hear heaps off Ten (being my fave album).
