    june 26th an event is being sponsored by the surfrider foundation, sierra club, defenders of wildlife audobon society, greenpeace, center for biological diversity and a bunch of other groups called hands across the sand. i have been helping organize the one in asheville but there will be many so please think about attending if there's one near you
