I agree people can complain as much as they want, I was trying to explain to the guy in Cleveland why/how this happens, I am not one of the kool-aid drinkers that thinks the band can do no wrong. I don't always get 10-Club tickets, for Seattle I waited, found a cheap flight and bought two single tickets on Ticketmaster for each night in the lower level just in case. I didn't get 10-Club tickets because I didn't want to have to eat the tickets if I couldn't go for some reason.

Am I a 10-Club member, yes, do I always order tickets through them for every show, almost but not always, there are other ways that you can actually get good seats to see the band through Ticketmaster, StubHub, etc. and sometimes it works out great.

Fair enough, but that was a long time ago and was due to a succession of errors from various parties. Things have changed a lot since then and, though accidents can (and will) still happen where there is a huge crowd, GA is a lot safer.

No real problems here in GA venues, why should it be different in the US?

    Two basic issues
America has too many Personal injury Lawyers...
and too many Jersey Shore douchebags that believe a General Admission ticket entitles them to bully and shove their way to the front because they are the most important person in the audience since they are the biggest fan.

Yeah, that's bs. Sometimes people have knowledge of something and just jump at the opportunity to apply it to something that is totally irrelevant. My first gig was Soundgarden in 1997 (sorry, actually November 1996)... It was in an arena and I was front row in the GA floor. It was an amazing time and there were mosh pits and people going crazy but everyone was respectful of everyone else. Anyone in the mosh, wanted to be there. If they didn't the were free to enjoy the show rockin out with everyone else on the floor.

There's no kind of nationwide ban on GA floors at venues in the US. And I'm pretty sure PJ has played its fair share of GA venues throughout the 90s. Why they no longer do is anyone's guess. They could certainly have the floor be GA at any arena if they wanted to.

Oh and to clarify, I lived in the US until 2003... that Soundgarden gig was where I saw PJ play one year later as a seated gig.

Festivals are still GA. The crowd was well-behaved at Jazz Fest, and from what I heard from people I ran into there, the 'Roo and ACL crowds were good too.
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

But if your paying for a product and you ask for steak and you get pork. It is wrong to complain? The whole theory that people don't have the write to complain is complete utter bullshit and goes against the one thing the band had preached forever, free speech.
+ to have free speach..but there are answers to that free speech, right?and u have to check the catalogue menue again...steak is out of stock..stop asking for it..

Or u get your face ripped off when trying to buy tickets...lol...
