Hey, well I don't post often, but I mull around on here quite a bit, regardless I'd like to share my story for the Buffalo show and send out some thank-you's!

First of all, my 10C # is in the 205XXX range, this was my 15th show and I decided to take my oldest son for his 1st show (6 years). We drove down from Toronto that morning and picked up our tickets and was very surprised to find that we had won the lottery and scored row 9 seats 1&2 which were the inside aisle seats. We were directly in front of Mike who rocked his ass off; wow!

My son was quite excited about being there but the end Band of Horses came on, I could tell was starting to fade. He made through to 'The Fixer' and decided he needed to lay down for a nap. Well his nap lasted up until 'Once' kicked in. I threw in up on my shoulders and we began to rock out! At some point Mike threw out a pick and it landed a row in front of us, allowing the people in front to have it. This is where my 1st thank you is, they turned around and handed the pick to my son, saying they had gotten one the previous night, so THANK YOU TO THE PEOPLE SITTING FLR 3 ROW 8 SEATS 1&2!!!!!

We continued rocking out and 'Fuckin Up' came on, and don't think bad of my parenting skills but my son really likes this one for some reason so he starting really jumping around on my shoulders. Eddie was had thrown out a couple Tambourines to a few select people. And for some reason, a magical moment he saw my son sitting on my shoulders and pointed to us. He gestured to us further putting his arms/hands out to indicate my little guy! I darted into the aisle and made my way through a couple people and stopped behind 3rd row and Eddie tossed the tambourine directly to us. I put my hand up, my son reached out and we grabbed it!!!! My son got a tambourine!!! Holy fuck is all I could think.

We got back to our seats and my son was smiling from ear to ear, I don't think he understood the magnitude of this until everyone around starting giving him high fives. This is where I say my second thank you; "THANK YOU EDDIE AND PEARL JAM!!!"

There wasn't much more that I could think of, I've seen people get their tambourines/picks/setlists, whetever it might before at other concerts and have always thought, wow, you lucky people but I never thought I'd be one of those people. 3rd thanks goes to the 10C FOR RANDOMLY CHOOSING MY # AS A LOTTERY WINNER. There seems to be a lot of bitching on this forum about many different things, but shit guys this band, this 10C works hard and does a lot for us. Is it perfect? Nothing is perfect! But they do us good! I know it's easy for me to say this after this experience, but I'd be happy having any seat to see these guys!!! It's supposed to be about the music, everything else is just a bonus!

My final thank you is to the rests of the fans for rocking the fuck out!!!

Cheers, enjoy whatever show your attending and THANKS AGAIN to everyone I mentioned, we'll have pictures soon!!!

section 106... IMO the best seats in the house besides the first 2 rows ...
Anyway my opinion of the show was that the crowd was at its loudest I have ever heard. ( I compare it to Hamilton 05 and MSG 08)but Buffalo a bit louder through out the whole show...

For me WE as a crowd kicked some serious ASS ... It looked like Eddie tried to keep up with us but we were just to loud... Probably not but thats what I was thinking during the show :)

I went to all the shows so far and think that the energy level was really high in buffalo and was the only show pretty much filled up, even behind the stage (east coasters buy tix) but the set list couldnt compare with KC, St. L, Columbus or cleveland.

Energy wise the buffalo crowd was ON but the setlist was somewhat top fortyish PJ songs. Although FATAL kicked ass.

just throwin' this out there ... but maybe the two are connected ... more "top fortyish", more crowd response?

i'm like most here who likes hearing the rarities but the reality is a good chunk of the crowd only knows the "hits" and for the place to take off - you need everyone ...

I've been wondering this myself. I think there definitely is a connection, as much as I'd like to hear the rarities.

I agree completely. We all want to hear the rarities but unless you have a crowd that will appreciate them, you may end up taking a lot of the energy out of the crowd if they don't know them. Buffalo had a great mix of songs, some rarities and a bunch of the usual but the Buffalo crowd made even the songs I have heard at every show that much better. The crowd was incredible.
  • The Buffalo crowd is always incredible, as are the Toronto crowds.
I think it's the CAN-AM Mix that is usually the case on either side.

The band should start showing Buffalo some Philly like love. 3 or 4 day stints in Buffalo would be REEEEL NICE!

We want a Buffalo special edition box set DAMN IT! :D:D

I was at the Cleveland and Buffalo shows, and in my opinion, the Buffalo show blew the Cleveland show away from an energy standpoint. The Band brings it every night but both the crowd and the band seemed to have it turned up a notch for the second night of the back to back.

The rest of my photos from the two nights are up here

Thanks to everyone who was there for rocking out so hard.

So was I. Last minute Cleveland tix, but still great seats-106 main level row 3. Buffalo ten club seats- row 24 seats 4 and 5, with binoculars. I agree with you. Good rockin out indeed. This is why: Buffalo has a rowdy bunch of people. Try finishing a degree here. I think they like playing Buffalo thanks to all of us Buffalonians, Canadians Clevelanders, let's not forget Rochesterians! and Philly fans too. Buffalo was perfect- not too many stupid jerks and enough serious lovers of the MUSIC. Pearl Jam fans unite. But, I think the people behind the stage could have been a little more enthusiastic and the people on the mountain top could have actually stood up. 300 levelers! To those of you who did, this is not for you. And nice pics.
