I talked to the merch guys in cleveland and he told me that the Burwell in Cleveland poster was a limited edition of 500 at the show. Does anyone else know? They sold out fast too. They were gone before Band of horses went on...I went to the concession stand and someone offered me 80 for one of my extras.

two merch stands at KC both said 600. People saying 1500 or 2000+ are on crack. That was LAST tour. This tour is a whole new ballgame with "traditional" sized runs.

There was a limit of two. I bought one. The first stand I went to was sold out, and the next one I went to had a lot left. This was about 1/2 hour before BOH started playing though.
I am lost, I'm no guide, but I'm by your side

I dont believe for a second its that low.. people are buying 2 at each booth and going from booth to booth buying more and more.

They seem to last until BoH is over and sometimes into PJs set. The Emeks seemed to be replenished at the booths as they appeared to sellout.

Its definitely lower than the last tour, but I dont think this is back to the 2008-older shows either.

The artist's site suggests that these were limited to 100? That does not seem right, anything to make of this?

that's just how much the artists get to sell (instead of compensation, they get to sell 100)

    except ames, they get 200

That's just his stash he has to sell. The artists had a choice on how they wanted to get paid--- they could either take a flat rate from PJ, or they could get 100 posters from the entire run to sell themselves. The better deal for the artists was the latter, so these will be the AP editions. They'll sign em, number em (out of 100), and sell em for somewhere around $70 a pop. In the end the artists will only be making about $700 for this amazing artwork. Which is pretty low considering how much work they put into it. But to answer your question, the entire run is unknown. I'd imagine the 10C will sell alot more online than at the show. I'd say the total run includes the 600-900 at the show, 100 from the artists, plus whatever number the 10C decides to sell online

Thanks for clarifying the meaning behind the artist run number.

100x$70 is $7,000, not 700, but that still seems pretty low, considering the amount of work that must go into it as you mentioned

Not sure, but I'm glad I got one. It's beautiful.I can't tell you how many people offered to buy it from me. Hells to the no!

We were told by the merch dude in Columbus they had 700 posters total. But that ugly piece of crap is going in my boys' room. I suppose it's a poster only a 4 and 6 year old could love.

Not sure if this helps or not but . . .
Not sure what time it was but it was b4 BOH. I went to the 1st booth and bought the last one they had (excluding the one they TAPED to the back wall - dumb-asses). Went to another booth & picked up a second one for a friend. They had a few left. The guy in the booth said each booth got 25 but there was one main booth that started with 150-160.

So, what this all means is . . . uh, I don't know. I guess nothing.

    GUYBUR.com poster releases
    Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Hi, kids. Anyone reading this? Maybe.

At any rate, we have a few new things coming available
in the next couple of days BUT we are going to wait
until they are all ready and do it all at once to save folks
from maybe making multiple orders and having compounded
shipping costs attached through the old Paypal. Okay? Great.

There will me a mailing list announcement sent out Wednesday
    regarding the upcoming stuffs.

    xo from GB.c

    ;)

Nobody knows, though I'd be shocked to see every poster make it to the online sale here.

Every poster will be on the TC sale... just an issue I'm sure as to how many for each. Although since it appears every poster sold out @ the show they will all have the same qty... might even be tough to grab a ala 06-08 tours as opposed to last year where they are still sitting waiting to be bought even on sale!

I never knew the artist didnt make a cut off the actual sales too......

so who pays for the production of the print? the band?

so each artist makes $7000 per commission pure profit, or is his printing taken out of that?

if its 7k profit per poster, thats not a bad amount of coin each time you sell a piece

Nobody knows that. All thats been said is there will be a poster sale after the tour, or did I miss something??

    Everybody is assuming different.
