Can someone get this on stage in Buffalo or? (UPDATED)

    I didn't give up my sneaker. Here's the complete story now that I am sober. I met up with a fellow 10c'er before the show to use my extra ticket. His name is Chris A. and I think his name on this board is tightropehigher. I sat with his girlfrfiend for most of the show in row 3 while Chris was in row 11. Eventually they switched places during the first encore. I tried for most of the show to get the envelope passed up but had no luck. I explained to Chris what I was trying to do and promised him a ticket for MSG2 for no charge if he got the envelope on stage. Chris grabbed the envelope and hopped the two rows. Just as he got to the front he took his sneaker off, put the folded envelope in and tossed it to Eddie who had a bewildered look on his face. He took the envelope out and looked at it.

    The next is a little blurry. For some reason Chris' other shoe ended up on stage and one of them Eddie set fire to. In hind sight because of the "shoe thing" I would have advised Chris not to do this. It worked though and no one got in trouble.


    Congrats James, your letter was delivered. Also, congrats Chris. I am a man of my word and if you can get to MSG2 I have a ticket for you free of charge.

    I know I had WAY too much to drink last night. My fiancé couldn't make it and she's usually the angel on my shoulder to my little devil but am I imagining Eddie setting the shoe on fire? Last night was such a blur. Can someone who was there confirm? Thanks.

    what a great story! I really hope Eddie read the letter, and if so, would find it hard to believe he would not grant that request.

    With a little more time I woulda suggested using the old fashioned postal service, as well as emailing <!-- e --><a href="mailto:info@tenclub.net">info@tenclub.net</a><!-- e --> as well as the post, as well as finding the "Pearl Jam dude" in the merch stalls before the shows, as well as the try-get-it-on-stage way. Looks like the message will probably get to them. Nice work! Hope so anyways. I will listen out on the bootleg as I'm in Asutralia and definately won't be at the shows.

    Everyone just because I am a "little fella" doesn't mean I'm not as huge as a PJ fan as you guys because I know that's what your thinking. I am a HUGE HUGE PJ fan. I have every boot every known to PJ fans! Again thanks for your support and keep bumping!!

    Thank you for everything David!! Last night was a complete sensory overload. And some how I ended up walking home wearing both shoes. The fire you saw was probably just Mcready shredding. I will let you know if I can make MSG in a few days.

    somebody(a guy) handed eddie what looked like, an envelope in buffalo last night from stage left, near the front/first row and he put it in his right back pocket..then gave the guy something, maybe a pick. i hope it was the letter.

    speaking as someone who knows how powerful a letter can be and the amazing things that can happen after it, this is a very powerful thread and i wish this family the best of luck, health, and PJ Kharma. What a great story where I am sure each chapter will only get better as we read on...

    Hope this works out for you, what a story. I am going to Bristow tomorrow night and although I may not get front row (keeping my fingers crossed for the lottery) I printed out a copy just in case to give to them is possible. Keep the faith, Pearl Jam's music is like medicine, so take it all in and enjoy the view, appreciate life and be blessed to be able to take your Dad to the show!
