This tour has been AMAZING, Bristow will be great!!!!!

Yes, the venue sucks. SO WHAT?? We are talking about seeing Pearl Jam, people!

If anyone knows anyone who might like to attend, I have 2 extra TM tickets, will sell for 1/2 price. $50 each! Would rather lose some money than see them go to waste! I plan on being at venue by 3:30 PM. Please let me know. asmith@l-e.com

...the only thing of concern is that people DO see pearl jam, and don't get trapped outside the venue for hours. Once in, all is good.

agreed 100% Hoff. anyone coming from out of town needs to be aware the Route 66 is awful every hour of every day around here. add the pearl jam fans and the rush hour that lasts from 3pm-8pm in the DC area. just be prepared. and if there is even the slightest bit of rain it just gets worse. DC drivers are some of the worst in the country. its quite incredible actually that the people around here are able to be functioning members of society, let alone politicians, lobbyists, etc.
i'm leaving Alexandria at 2pm sharp. hopefully there by 3:30

I'm coming from Richmond VA.

Mapquest said 2 hours, so I'm leaving at 2pm, because of previous experience.

I'll be driving down from Hershey, PA to see PJ for the 3rd time (Pittsburgh, Philly, Bristow)!

I was a little down that they didn't do a PA tour this year but for this band, I will drive 2 1/2 hours to see them 20 rows from the stage in the Orchestra seats :)

Where are you leaving from?

I would say you "might" be ok but you should maybe leave a little earlier...I just drove from Cranbury (8A) to Columbia, MD on Sunday in about 2.5-3 hours (1 restroom break of 10 mins) and Columbia is an hour from the Venue.

Good Luck!!!

Does anyone have any tips on getting posters from this venue?

Do you think you can buy the poster and go back to the car?

Does anyone have any tips or do I have to buy them from Ames?

HA!

Thanks

+1 ppl are horrible drivers around here, and some are just horrible..haha- I was gonna leave DC at 4p, I think I'll leave at 3p. It's just really hard to judge- you could fly down 66 and just get jammed at the parking lot, or 66 could be hell. Here's to tailgating for 4 hrs. pre-concert!

Point taken, lol!

Looks like lots of fan club tickets are going to be for sale too. Lots of people on here trying to get rid of them. I think I'm going to have an extra as well, good member number, got 15th row in 2003, 7th in 2006 so hoping on even closer this tour, OR LOTTERY!!! Contact me by PM if anyone has a need, might just have to bless someone there with a miracle or an upgrade!

I will be driving from Florida and can't possibly be there by 3pm or anything like that. We will leave @ 3 am and my dad (who drives like a Formula 1 racer read : fast and damn good, knows all the little short cuts as he's a veteran of the road). Will we be able to make it in time with all the traffic?

I am only getting dropped off at the venue. Since we are not parking will I be able to get in the gate (even if I have to walk from a mile away)?
I surfaced and all of my being was enlightened.

Bring a map, so if you have to get dropped off on the side of the road you can find your way in.

I was reading about the shopping plaza and places nearby. Will there be traffic around these areas so I can be dropped off around there? About how far out of the venue does the traffic usually go to? Do you think I could be dropped off at one of the nearby stores/hotels/plaza without my ride waiting in too much traffic to get there?

Someone who lives in that area might have a better idea. I don't know.

But perhaps you allow your ride to get in line for parking etc, and if it becomes painfully slow, that's when you hop out of the car and walk faster than the cars. :)

I got ticketmaster seats for the show in either 203 or 303. Is the view from these sections pretty decent? obviously it isn't as quality of tenclub tickets I know. but im just making sure I'm not dissapointed.
