the giants writer on the athletic was just talking about how the giants STILL owe $637M to chapman, adames, lee and devers. that’s less than the mets owe one guy and I’ll take these four….since that one guy can’t play four positions or bat four times in the order. those four weren’t great this year but I expect better from all of them next year.If I had known then what I know now...

Happy for Seattle. Should be a fun series with Toronto0

I had had plenty to drink (shocker!) and gave up after 13, even in my mountain time zone. 10:00? Anyway 10-13 was crazy, with runners on 2nd, no outs, seemingly every inning. I kept thinking “it’s over” but it never was. Not sure if that was great pitching or anemic hitting. Kinda reminded me of my Giants (the hitting). If I had known then what I know now...

Go M's. Our guys were there right.
Cubs vs. Mariners might make the band break up. The Cubs are still in it right?Post edited by Johnny Abruzzo onSpectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

that’s not what I wanted, but I’m not much of a PJ fan anymore.eeriepadave said:So much for the Cubs/Mariners World Series most PJ fans wanted.
there are 3 likeable teams left and one team that is VERY easy to hate.

Brewers / Cubs was a pretty classic series and both teams gave it their all. Either team could have advanced, but the Brewers bullpen really pulled through. I don't know if the Brewers would have won if Craig Counsell was still managing. No way Craig would let Patrick pitch another inning because analytics. That is more of a gut call and Pat Murphy has a decent size gut. Give the players your trust instead of following a spreadsheet.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0

Yes please!!! The over use of analytics is killing the sport imo.Jason P said:Brewers / Cubs was a pretty classic series and both teams gave it their all. Yesterday was the perfect example of the Cubs offense for the 2nd half of the season. It was actually the perfect ending.Jason P said:Brewers / Cubs was a pretty classic series and both teams gave it their all. Nobody did a damned thing at the plate yesterday. As a team their offense didn't
do a damned thing the entire 2nd half.
But yes, the Brewers pitching staff certainly performed OUTSTANDING yesterday. Above and Beyond.
Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....0 -
my observation: both the ousted phillies and cubs might benefit from some Latin position players… I don’t think the all american lineups are necessarily organizational philosophies, but it sure has worked out that way.If I had known then what I know now...

I'm a fan of both the Jays and the Mariners. Jay's are our Canadian team, but Seattle being so close, is like our home team.I've been a fan of both for decades and it generally doesn't conflict. Until know, lol. Still it's going to be awesome that one of my favourite teams will be in the World Series.0
