ESPN just goes too far with the comedy.
this is ludicrous. career .258 hitter who swings from his ass every time and runs into about 30 per year. the definition of one dimensional.

    even sloppi hit for average.

Shef had a similarly violent swing but had a career average of .292 and wasn’t a defensive liability.

Sheffield wasn’t hurt every year either. At least he was reliable to take the field.

Gary won’t make the HOF because of steroids and I didn’t like him but he’s 10x the HOF candidate than Mike.

    Sheffield career WAR is 62

    Stanton career WAR 44

Sheffield also played SS, 3B and RF in his career. Stanton is a DH.

Good on Detroit for getting it out

Cleveland's strategy of winning every game 2-1 is not a winning formula

People act like Stanton played his whole career at DH. He was a RF. Still is to some extent. His leg injuries kept him from playing the outfield every day. But he had some speed prior. He's played 1144 games in the outfield and 521 games as a DH.
Also Sheffield has played about 850 more games.

People are right to question his HoF caliber play.
The love he receives is the love that is saved

    Dale Murphy>>>> Mike Stanton

Poor Dale Murphy had two bums knees and didn’t have the luxury of DH’ing to give himself a break from the field.

I told some of you in here that Vlad was good.  Hope you see that now.  He's torching the Yanks.
