don't get me wrong, though. He was a special player in any circumstance. If I had known then what I know now...

Football review is horrible but if baseball can figure out a system where they figure it out in real time, I am all for it. Have a 5th ump who calls or buzzes down immediately. I mean umps can already be overruled by other umps so why not have one that can review plays immediately.
Everyone complains about slowing the game down with replays but they don't say a word when a manager comes out and argues for 5-10 minutes on a call that isnt going to be changed
I'd rather have that time spent reviewing the call and getting it rightBelieve me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0 -

I loved watching Bobby Cox give an umpire a piece of his mind (and some spit and some dirt)0 -

Rickey Henderson is my favorite athelete of all time. By far. Most underrated offensive player in MLB history. He and KGJ are best non-juice offensive players of my generation.
but he's in the HOF and even if he wasn't a user, I think you'll agree that some users will slip in...and, in my mind, that's not fair to the ones who will be forever excluded. hell, just note it on their plaques -PED user, whatever.

Rickey Henderson...Ken Griffey. Two best non-juicers of my generation (I'm 33)0 -
Logan Morrison is awesome. Reminds me of Utley at the plate0

It appears that some are backing off the whole "BABIP is random" thing, which is complete bullshit.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

It was buck martinez talking about it at that. Suprising. Definitely not random, one of the first things I look at when a players statistics look strange, like 2010 Austin Jackson0

Brandon Wood designated for assignment. Considered to be a top infield prospect. Every time I see him play they always mention that he will start to hit soon. But nothing.I miss igotid880

FUCK YOU MCCOURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NEW YORK -- Major League Baseball is taking over the Los Angeles Dodgers, a team financially paralyzed by the divorce of its owners.
Baseball commissioner Bud Selig says in a release Wednesday that he will appoint a representative to oversee the "business and the day-to-day operations of the Club."
Selig says he took action "because of my deep concerns regarding the finances and operations of the Dodgers."
His decision followed a report by the Los Angeles Times that owner Frank McCourt had arranged a $30 million loan from Fox, the team's television partner.
Selig says he will announce the new team head in the next several days.
"The Dodgers have been one of the most prestigious franchises in all of sports, and we owe it to their legion of loyal fans to ensure that this club is being operated properly now and will be guided appropriately in the future," Selig said Wednesday in the release.

Norm, I KNEW you'd post this. And yes I am a Giants fan, but I don't utterly loathe the D***ers. I do, however, loathe Frank McCourt. So I unite with you in your "FUCK YOU MCCOURT."0
