    That was the first notification I received on my phone this morning. Just absolutely terrible. One of the most exciting pitchers to watch and an even better person. Always saw him with a smile on his face, enjoying every moment life gave him. Gone way too soon!

    I was glued to the Marlins/Mets game. Shed some tears quite a few times. The Dee Gordon homer was just unreal. Crushed it. Bour getting his first career triple. The pitching committee completely shutting the Mets done. They were determined & they came through.

    end of Cardinals game is why I have a problem with Bonds, et al. being called "cheaters." no one ever says "no, the ptch didn't hit me" or "yes, I trapped the ball" or whatever.

    Amazing tidbit on Vin Scully today during the Cards game...He called games that Connie Mack managed and games with Julio Urias. Connie Mack was born during the a Civil War, when Abe Lincoln was prez and Urias was born the year google started.
