So much for the argument earlier about Cubs having top pitching staff in baseball.

    Updated stats:
    Cubs
    Arrieta: 12-4 with a 2.68 ERA, 114 innings pitched
Lester: Lester 9-4 with a 3.01 ERA, 110 innings pitched
    Lackey: 7-5 with a 3.5 ERA, 110 innings pitched

    Giants
MadBum: 9-4 with 2.09 ERA, 120 innings pitched
    Cueto: 13-1 with a 2.47 ERA , 131 innings pitched
    Shark: 9-5 with a 3.91 ERA, 117 innings pitched

With Kershaw out, Cueto should get NL start in all star game. Leading the NL in wins and 3rd now in ERA (behind Kershaw and MadBum).

I was very impressed with the AAA stadium for the Durham Bulls. Have you been impressed with other AAA stadiums?

very little star power in the HR derby.

SLC's AAA stadium is pretty nice.

I have actually not been to a AAA, but the AA ones have been OK.

I love the Derby, thumbs down to all of the haters. Want to see Stanton hit balls out to Coronado.

I love minor league baseball stadiums. Grew up going to the Binghamton Mets and have tons of nostalgia for those small parks.

I have been to a bunch. Binghamton, Durham (agreed, it's awesome), Trenton Thunder, Wilmington Blue Rocks, Camden Riversharks (love it). I am sure there are a couple others than I am blanking on.

I like Campbell's Field. Backdrop of the Ben Franklin Bridge is pretty cool.

I was concerned for those little kids and the people in the first several rows every time Stanton screamed a line drive their direction.

Yeah the Stanton power display was impressive.
The 11 yr old asked, upon seeing Berman on screen, "Is that Pete Rose?"
    I laughed.
He asked why that was funny.
I told him that other than being overweight and having sad hair that they had little in common.
He pointed out that this was a lot to have in common.

I thought ESPN fired Berman after the sexual harassment mess. Fucking ESPN.

Stanton was a beast. I do not like the home run competition as it takes too long but did not miss his last 2 rounds after his first.

If Berman wasn't such a douchey shmuck, I would've felt sorry for him last night. A few times he set up his own punch lines and it was pretty awkward. Once upon a time he was pretty entertaining.

at one point, berman said "he's on a roll; a jelly roll." WTF?

oh great.....media whore jose fernandez (see: his act during HR Derby) says he will groove three fastballs to fellow media whore Big Sloppi. of course, hernandez' shitty marlins team is unlikely to need home field advantage in the WS. if I'm terry collins, hernandez does not get the chance

For a team as young as the Marlins they're not playing that badly with 47 wins. I might drive down and see a game there's always plenty of room to sit just about anywhere in that stadium.

Btw why are the NL Allstars squad playing in road uniforms?
