I like it this way. Emphasis on WINNING the Division. The playoffs last too long as it is. What do you want the other teams that win the Division to do if they have to wait for a best of 3 series? I like to call that WC game: just a play-in game.

i think they should play best of 3 but play it in 2 days in one city. game 1 on Monday, games 2 and 3 if necessary on Tuesday. Baseball plays almost every day during the season. no reason why they can't play right after the season and play a double header if necessary. a one-game playoff for teams that make the playoffs is a joke.

I don't think the MLBPA, and probably the owners, would go for a DH.

I read the A's called up Zito.

He may face Tim Hudson in Oakland in the final week of the season. That would be pretty cool. Huddy is done after this year; I would imagine Zito too.
