The Pirates nailed the first ever 4-5-4 triple play in MLB history against the Cards yesterday.

It's very rare for a "first ever" moment these days considering roughly three billion games have been played throughout history.

The leaps he's made over the last 3 seasons has been so impressive. Just keeps getting better. He's a really fun hitter to watch and has been the MVP of the league so far this year. When he gets on a hot streak, it feels like a sure double every time.

Hopefully there's nothing more to it, but only playing in 3 out of 7 games against division rivals makes it seem like there may be more to the story.

I wouldn't give him the mvp but he'd definitely deserve votes.

What the hell is taking Matt Weiters so long to recover from TJ surgery? Pitchers take less time to come back. I'm sick of seeing him on the DL on 2 of my fantasy teams.

He shouldn't even start when he comes back. In a contract year and the kid they are playing is putting up great stats.

You're correct. Caleb is playing well. But it's hard to ignore how well Weiters was hitting when he got hurt.

I was at an A's game in the 80's where a perfect game was broken with 2 outs in the 9th. It was the Mariners pitcher who was doing it and gave up a tater to lose the perfect game, the no no and the shut out. The A's fans boo'd the A's player that did it. I can't remember who was pitching.

I don't see that one where the Tiger got hosed out of his perfecto by the 1B ump...
