NL Playoffs are awesome. Padres/Dodgers and Phillies/Mets would be awesome. Feel like whoever comes out of the NL wins it all.

Sean McDonough & crew were throwing all the shade at the non-sellout Baltimore crowd. Pathetic.

Never gonna say anything nice about the Mets but their games have really been exciting.
I could have used a lot more of Jessica Mendoza than Ben McDonald during both of those games.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

we also could have done without Garrett Mitchell being interviewed in the dugout in the top of the ninth while Jose Iglesias was batting.

Detroit is going to be hard to beat in a 5 game series with Skubal throwing twice potentially.

Id like to see the Padres and Cleveland in the series for another epic slumpbuster world series.  Padres/Tigers would be cool too.

I want to like the Brewers... that ballpark they play in seems to suck the atmosphere and life out of baseball.

Didn't get to see Tuesday's games, saw last nights. Great night of baseball. Youtube tv multiview....chef's kiss.

But.....and this is the shit that always grinds my gears.....how are we feeling about MLB selling ad space on every player's batting helmet to some German company? Strauss? On both sides of the helmet?

    What the fuck....

    What the hell is Strauss?

    Juggler no like.

I believe they had another sponsor for the London series....but that kind of felt like an exhibition. The post season feels different.

  • And now Baltimore. Glorious
So i really wanted to see Baltimore in the playoffs.  All that talent and a year squandered... But, I get to see Bobby Witt Jr on a regular basis.  The world will get to see how good this kid id now.

Detroit is a surprise to me.  Skubal is great.  But how the hell are they hitting?  Their best hitter is Riley Greene whom if he had help would be an absolute stud.  Just a little help.

Atlanta without Acuna Im ok with losing.

San Diego should be fun to watch w Tatis, Machado and Merrill whom seems like will be a star in the close future.

I'd like to see the Mets pull it out.

Astros losing is a surprise, see about Tigers above.

LA/SD and NYY/KC are the ones I want to watch the most so far until the next round.
  • I have heard major complaints on ESPNs broadcasting.  I agree most of them stink.  Ravitch is the absolute worst.

If ESPN cared as much about baseball as they did the NFL they would have quality announcing...

I don't understand how Sean McDonough is not their top baseball guy. He was doing the World Series back in the 90's and he was great at it.

Olney, Rosenthal and Kirkjian are great.  Have them do the analysis and commentary rather than be guests or interviewers.

I really miss Gammons.  He was by far my fav baseball commentator that theyve ever had.

You need a play by play man who carries some weight. Ravech was good on Baseball Tonight but he's not good calling the games. I will never understand why McDonough is not regarded in the same light as someone like Joe Buck. There are so many bad national tv announcers out there. McDonough is one of the best but he's relegated to hockey and college stuff. I don't get it.

I'm just stoked to get the nostalgia of a Royals-Yankees playoff series.  I wasn't alive when they played in the late 70s, but have heard so many stories.  If KC's offense doesn't wake up, it won't be much of a series.  Awesome to see a Judge vs. Witt Jr. matchup.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

McDonough is great at all the sports he announces. And not afraid to speak his mind.
Always glad to hear his voice when I tune into any game.

I remember he made the 1993 playoffs so great. As opposed to a Chris Collinsworth who made Super Bowl LII awful to watch even though it was a thrilling game and a victory.

Karl Ravich should NOT be allowed to leave the Bristol Studio. I agree he was good on BBTN but he sucks as a lead announcer.
I got LUCKY for Monday's games as I watched the Local Atlanta Broadcast.

I agree on Sean McDonough too. He's good, and at all sports.

I'm not surprised how the "Best" 2 of 3 turn out.

Hell, even the White Sox beat Cleveland 3 of 4 in a Series this year. 162 NEEDS to mean something besides money. %40 of teams make the playoffs?

There are plenty of major upsets in best-of-7 series as well. It's never gonna be perfect. They want to have a bunch of playoff teams, reward the top teams with a "bye" and get it all over with before blizzard season. I'd rather it be 4 teams make the playoffs like when I was a kid, but there's clearly too much money around for that to still happen.

Just heard Detroit’s 26 man roster makes $18M. Houston has 4 players who each make more. MLB has 62 such players.

I think for the wild card round, they should have each team's local announcers call the game when they are batting
