I think for the wild card round, they should have each team's local announcers call the game when they are batting
dunno…because ben mcdonald, I think, is an orioles broadcaster and he was brutal.

Apparently the Mets are the first team in MLB history to clinch a postseason spot and a series win by winning games where they trailed in the ninth inning or beyond: https://x.com/SlangsOnSports/status/1842039883986059440

Alonso’s HR was the first of it’s type in all of postseason history, according to some convoluted scenario….trailing, elimination game, 9th inning, etc.

last night is why baseball has always been my favorite sport. it ain’t over ‘til the fat lady sings.

I'm glad it was Alonso that did it.  Hone grown player and fan favorite.

Yeah, that was cool.  I wanted the Brewers to win, but can't deny the drama there and nice to see Alonso get a moment other than the home run derby.

Mets/Phillies and Padres/Dodgers should be wild atmospheres.  Im a Cleveland fan, and I think Im more excited for the NL (although I adopted the Padres as my NL team years back).

Any scenario that involves the Dodgers losing is good with me.

Hate the Mets and wanted Milwaukee to win, but hey they played very well. I'll give 'em props.

I kind of have trouble seeing the Dodgers beat the Padres. Maybe if the Musgrove injury keeps him out. They'll just pitch around Shohei - it's not the regular season anymore.
