Kinda weak to give MVP to someone who doesn't field.
kinda weak to give it to a d**ger.

kinda weak to put DH sloppi in the HOF on the first ballot.

is trout an HOFer? I know everybody loves the guy but one great ability is availability.
He is. 3 mvp's and 10 years of great.  Think Kirby Puckett or Dimaggio. He has an 86 WAR.  That's 20 over the normal HOFer...
does WAR only factor the numbers he puts up when he actually plays? I think it does. In other words, I don’t think it divides his 60 games played by 162. I’m not sure your halos are getting their $37M/yr worth.
If I had known then what I know now...

3 years he was hurt.  One of those he hit 40Hrs. Bad streak for sure.  Doesn't mean he isn't going into the Hall.

so, the rays are building a new stadium……right next to the current one! I thought one excuse for their shit attendance was difficulty getting there.

the record is definitely in sight, especially after they dumped half their team. 🤞

anthony rendon makes about $35M a year and has never played more than 58 games in any of his five years with tempo’s angels.

Flagherty to Dodgers is pretty big.
Eloy to phillies is big too
Scott to SD?  I did not think they were still trying.

Skubal stays in Detroit.  I guess they will build around him?

no, he wastes two years there and leaves.

I hope they keep losing and continue to get humiliated.  They are truly a dreadful team and organization.  28th blown save last night!  Baseball used to be my favorite sport.  Reinsdorf and the Sox have made me hate it.  My 7 year old always wants to watch baseball and since we're Sox fans that's usually what we watch.  I just tell him not to do what the Sox do...that will not help his own game!

That sucks.  I know what its like being a Sabres fan.

The White Sox were such an interesting up and coming team a few years back and that was squandered.

    No-no.
a fellow Giants fan came over yesterday and we spent a lot of time discussing Snell. my buddy lives about 20 miles away and we get together about 3 times a year to discuss our team….

I thought they should have dealt Snell because a) the Giants need to pass four teams to get in the playoffs…not one, not two, not three, but four and b) Snell is 99% sure to opt out at the end of the season.

my buddy liked that they kept him because a) Snell is probably the lone Giant you would pay to see, b) IF the Giants could somehow get to the postseason, their shortened rotation would be two cy young winners and webb (their #4 and 5 are pitching well, too) and c) what were they gonna get for him, anyway? a couple of fifth round “prospects”? I agree with all of that, so I guess we’ll see what happens (until he opts out  )

Nope!  Not this team!  They might shatter this record.  Almost rooting for it at this point as a Sox fan.
