wasn’t sure the d-bags could shake off game 1, but they surely did.
Your boy Pham was good, lol.
Apparently he had a chance for a 5-for-5 game and told Torey Lovullo since they were up big to let Jace Peterson take the at-bat for him.
don’t try to make me like that guy!
just don't violate the rules in his fantasy football league and he'll like you.
Joc was talking trash not violating rules.
No, it was about him violating rules....then talking trash after Phal said he would bitch slap him . Would have to dig....
Please dig. Joc is above reproach!

So 2 things. Friday nights are notorious for having bad ratings. It was the most watched show on tv though.
I'm wondering how it did against MNF.
I'm sure MNF won, though I saw one play of that game while the World Series was in a commercial break.

I watched more NBA than I did World Series tonight.
The article states they had to go head-to-head with MNF featuring Lions/Raiders. Imagine if MNF was something like Chiefs/Bills or Cowboys/Eagles. The viewership for game 3 would have been Wobbie.
Bullpen games. Guys "injured" with "side tightness". Every game inside a "retractable" dome. What a joke.
Shame on my team for choking so so badly.

I have to say, and Smoltz mentioned it too, I was pretty impressed with the Arizona fans being into the game throughout even though they were getting killed. World Series appearances don't come around too often, enjoy them when you get them.
Citizens Bank Park would probably be a ghost town by the 6th inning if the Phillies were getting beat that badly.
I watched more NBA than I did World Series tonight.
15 million watched that Raiders game? Really? Dear lord.
So Baseball has 8 million viewers. Don't blame it on not having Harper like the article says. Didn't they have Harper one year w a low rating too?
I see it as good. At least they still have viewership. They just need to get some momentum with it.
Baseball does a pisspoor job at promoting players and their brands. Jung and Carroll should have been celebrated all year but they didn't do squat for them.
Espns coverage of baseball is pathetic. They push NFL all year long and probably because they have them on their tv schedule. I see more Hockey shows than baseball shows on ESPN... MLB needs to get in bed w them to get some more viewership.
Ohtani and Judge can't be the only 2 players they care about. Bring back TWIB to show highlights.

Absolutely! Crowd was great there, good for them.

Thoughts?
My thought is that TWIB comment makes you sound decades older than Wobbie. Highlights are instantly available to all on the internet as well as shortly after games end on ESPN and MLB Network and numerous other TV options. But you want to bring back a show that plays highlights a week after the fact?

OK so here me out.
U can watch highlights, as long as u watch a 15 second ad for a 5 second clip. You know how many highlights I end up watching? Basically none. NFL has U got mossed and such and talks about the past big plays so why not a baseball show? NBA does it too. So give it a different name.
Hey its an idea. What do u propose?
Baseball needs a show discussing baseball and its players. You have NFL Live, Primetime, Matchup, NBA Countdown NBA Today etc etc but you have Sunday night baseball, thats it... I love hearing Kurkjian and Olney talk about baseball. I miss Gammons, Ravech sucks and Passan has his moments.
Go over to Fox and u have Rosenthal whom I enjoy. The shows aren't bad either .
MLB brought back Harold Reynolds so that has been better. I love their minor league reports.

Again, see my other reasoning for it. I listed quite a few of them...
You asked if they had low ratings last year too. They did. But still had 4 million more viewers. I knew this would be less and the reasoning is what I said last week. Lack of star players and nobody cares about these two teams outside of Texas and Arizona. Baseball is much more regionalized now than it was in the past. Plus, obviously, tv ratings for most everything are down.
Agree on the ESPN coverage and baseball's poor job at marketing. I would definitely watch TWIB but that's not going to increase tv ratings significantly. Kids like other sports more nowadays.
