    Kimbrill just screams cornfield anyway.
He very much has "squeal like a pig, boy" vibes.

Weirdly excited for this - those White Sox unis look sweet. A shame either have to have the swoosh on there, real old timey-like...

Yeah those unis are pretty sharp....except for the Nike swoosh on there obviously.  Pretty cool that they're doing this.

Taking the little guy to his first white sox game in a couple weeks.  He's 4 and is starting to show legit interest in baseball and is always asking me questions about the rules and how things work.  Sox future is looking bright....he's lucky to not have suffered the past 10-12 years of mediocrity.

Went to our first White Sox game earlier this year on our baseball road trip. We had a blast....fans were great & the stadium was badass.

I've heard "no starter has been announced for tomorrow's game" more this year than in the previous 35 years of watching baseball

    Yes I do.

anyone remember when people complained that mlb cracking down on pitchers cheating was dumb?  Offense up and strikeouts down since.  Right move

I am enjoying watching the Blue Jays having a good run at a playoff spot right now after coming out hot after the Allstar break. I enjoy baseball but sure is a lot more fun to get into when they are in the hunt.

    Ohtani killing it still.

Buster Olney put up an article about how?  can the Angels keep him, Rendon and Trout all on the same team?

By golly you had better figure it out Moreno damnit!

Get rid of Rendon, you sure don't let either of the superstars go.

Over the last 2 weeks, not really.  Votto is close.  If I search by last week there are a bunch and if you look at last 30 it is only Votto and Marte.
    Springer is on fire.

For the last 2 weeks, no, but Votto is right there over the last month. Marte isn't quite in that stratosphere with the all around numbers, but he's become a steal machine and is hitting unreal. He has 6 multi-hit games and has stolen 8 bases in his last 8 games. Hell, he's only been held hitless 2x in the last month.
    It's a hopeless situation...

There is a pretty strong irony in looking at Marte's big jump in steals when he gets to Oakland.
    Dude is killing it.
Nobody better than Joey the last 30...but he does have 0 steals.

I'd like to complain about the bullpen but they held the Braves scoreless until the 11th once Miley went out.

Big jump?  He's stolen 30+ bases 5 other times.

MVP is still Ohtani's for the taking.  Whomever said drop Rendon, I agree.  He has done nadda for the Halos so far.

I always thought it would be Ohtani to be hurt all the time not friggin trout...

With Marlins this year.  22 steals in 67 games.
With A's this year.  9 steals in 11 games.

That is a big jump when he got to Oakland.

Could be A's still play small ball?  9 steals in 11 games is impressive.

If he keeps up this pace I'd be really interested.

A's were the one franchise I would least expect to have a dude stealing 9 in 11 with Billy Beane still at the helm.
I like it -- some flexibility there.

Now that I think of it you are right.  They traded their speedster over to KC last year.  Kevin Merrell.
