altho I seem to be in the minority, I’m good with madbum not being credited with a no-no. I mean, how many have been lost in the 8th and 9th? 21 outs does no equal a no-no.

But it's a scheduled 7 inning game. They should at least put an asterisk.
So home runs or any individual stats shouldn’t count in the record books after 9 innings? is there an asterisk for RBI’s in extras because the guy was already starting on second?

I meant that since it's a scheduled 7 inning game and the pitcher throws a no-hitter or perfect game. That they should acknowledge it and say it was a 7 inning game. That's where the asterisk comes in. I think the runner is credited with a run scored and the batter with an rbi. But the pitcher is not charged with an earned run
A 7 inning no hitter is absolute bush league any way you slice. Sure, go ahead and put an asterisk next to it. A major league baseball game consists of 9 fucking innings. I really dislike these stupid new rules.
Pretty shitty overall for the whole league because the pitcher doesn't get the chance to make it an official no-no. We're like a bunch of old guys yelling at the clouds though. The rules of the game have changed many times over the last 120 years. If the league made the official game seven innings, it's a no hitter, but it's marked as such with an asterisk.
It's one thing if in a 9 inning game you're throwing a no-no and it's gets called in the 7th because of rain. Then if the game officially ends in the 7th and anything after that is extra innings. Pedro Martinez is not credited with a perfect game even though he went to the 10th with one
The next pitch was 98 to the ribs and sounded gross as hell. Cutch then drove into the go ahead. Some quick karma. Game today will be interesting. Last matchup of the season.
Should be a mechanism to skip the 3 batter minimum.

That is like letting a drunk driver hit 2 cars because there is a minimum 3 car hit minimum... Friggin dumb.

I will scream at those clouds about this!!! 7 inning doubleheaders are absurd. This is the fucking major leagues!! Having said all that, watching the white sox sweep a doubleheader yesterday sure was fun....

I mean, I saw one of my Giants (Petit) lose a perfecto on a 3-2 count with two outs in the ninth. so, no, seven innings is not a no hitter.

Pitcher obviously didn't mean it but damn man. He could have ended someone's career.
So dumb.
