So far --- Ryan is at 50 on his list and Pujols 23.
It is one man's list - we would all argue over any list.  (Part of the fun, right?  My big beef is KGJr at 48)

    2009 orange refractor.

The whole card world knows, lol.

For penmanship look at Luis Severino's sig.  He has a beautiful auto.
    Always liked The Hawk's signature:

I just pulled a card with his auto, yes it is nice.

For the record, Greg Maddux has the worst sig ever.
I thought that honor belonged to Mike McCready.

Right now standing outside the Nationals vs Yankees spring training game in West Palm Beach. Fans seem enthusiastic about the game while taking maximum precautions as far as the virus is concerned.

I'm not sure if I want to in. ITS DA YANKEES. Not much interest in seeing them hoping the Sox game on Saturday is still going to played.

I decided to come into the game cause outside many were saying THIS  will be the LAST spring training game for this year. Which means I'll miss the SOX on Saturday, I just better get my money back.

Fans so far are having a great time.

    Ryan?  You're joking right?
He was a horse for a loooooong time. I used to think he was overrated and then checked out his Baseball-reference one day. Bolded shit all over the place up for damn near a quarter century. He really only dropped off his last few years.

Pujols at 23 is moronic. He’s a lock in the top 10. Fucking 700 hr clean

He lead in categories like K's, BB's, Hits per 9 innings, Wild pitches...  I do admit to loving him as he was exciting but no way was he one of the best.

Blyleven, Neikro, Carlton and Perry had a higher WAR than Ryan.  All his contemporaries.

EDIT: Yes I would put Pujols wayyyy up there as well.  For the first 12 years or so he was unbelievable.
  • As stated, I have a beef with Griffey not being lower than 40s, but every person would make a different list.
The top 10 is going to be fun.

Ichiro should be way higher on the list.

Cy young should not be behind any pitcher.

Josh Gibson at 15 is a little much.

Major League Baseball just suspended spring training and postponed Opening Day..

Major League Baseball is delaying the start of the 2020 regular season by at least two weeks in response to the coronavirus pandemic, the league announced Thursday.

    Top 5?

    Almost impossible to pick.

    1. Babe Ruth
    2. Willie Mays
    3. Hank Aaron
    4. Ted Williams
    5. Mickey Mantle

    To heck with pitchers!
(And to known roid ragers.  Bonds is an all time great but I am not putting him in my top 5)

There are a lot of people that think Ryan is one of the best, why?  They must love the strikeout.

I would take Maddux 100 times over Ryan any day.  A list of other pitchers I would choose over him.

    Scherzer
    Kershaw
    Mathewson
    Koufax
    Gibson
    Drysdale
    Gomez
    Young
    Johnson Big Train
    Johnson Big Unit
    Brown
    Marichal
    Nichols
    Spahn
    Clemens
    Plank
    Palmer

Again, I loved watching Ryan pitch.  Hearing him grunt when he threw was always cool!

Let's do top 5 pitchers of all time.

    Cy Young
    Walter Johnson
    Greg Maddux
    Christy Mathewson
    Warren Spahn

I do think people underestimate how great Spahn was.

I don't know that I can do top fives.  It's too hard to narrow down.
Barry Bonds is the greatest player of all-time. Greg Maddux is the greatest pitcher of all-time. Manny Ramirez & Ichiro are two of the best hitters I've ever seen, throw Pujols, Arod, & Gwynn in there, too.  Wish I was old enough to have seen 70's George Brett.

With modern players I agree with you 100%.

People don't put in Frank Thomas enough either.  For like 10 years he had 100BB, runs and RBI's.  Dude was a machine in the 90's.

    What say you?!?

This is where I like to hear "why" you like certain players that others do not.

    Top 5 is difficult.

Bonds is in the discussion. May Dad use to tell me that Willie Mays was one of, if not,  the Best overall player he saw.

Manny Ramirez & Albert Pujols are 2 of the best RH hitters i've seen.

George Brett almost hit .400 in 1980. Great swing.

I'll throw in Rod Carew and Tony Gwynn who were Ichiro before Ichiro.  Better hitters,  really. Same with Wade Boggs.  Gwynn may have hit .400 if it wasn't for the Strike(1994)

Steve Carlton & Bob Gibson are some of the pitchers that are right there with Maddux, that i saw. Check out ther Stats(ther complete game stat)

I caught the very end of Carlton's career.  Dude was revered as one of, if not THE best lefty ever.  Speaking of which, gotta bring up my local guy Lefty Grove.  Consistently put up sub-3 ERAs in a time when Ruth, Gehrig, and others were beating the absolute shit out of the ball!

    See "Warren Spahn"...

Edit: Look up Steve Carltons 1972 stats then look up the Phillies wins that year...  One of my favorite pitching stats.
