    Yanks/Astros game rained out
Unfortunately for Washington, they're going to be sitting around for over a week until they play again. They'll be at a huge disadvantage when it comes to momentum. Sure they get plenty of rest, but I don't think it's an advantage at this stage. I don't know how the league can correct an issue like that when a team is red hot like they've been, but it hurts them in the playoffs when they have to sit around waiting for the next game.
It may not hurt the pitching as much but it could hurt the hitters. Remember what happen to  the Rockies, who had a great end of the Regular Season just to make the playoffs, and then swept the NLCS to make the WS? They were swept easily in the WS as i think they had over a Week off. Baseball is difficult enough when you're hitting every day.

  • Beginingng of this game does anyone else feel that Grienke wasn't getting calls?

Also I'm still trying to figure out why Chirinos was dancing behind the plate?  To keep batters off balance?

I’ve heard a lot of stories about how some of the fans behaved in NY. There’s no need for this or for chanting “Fuck Altuve.” Unreal.

There s nothing wrong with a “fuck altuve “ chant, this isn’t  a middle school baseball game. Throwing things at anybody is wrong but it doesn’t seem that Astro’s fan was 100% innocent.

To each, their own. I’m not saying it was all NY fans at these games, but there have been several reports of behavior that’s a bit out of bounds. From what that story said, he was being taunted so they removed him for his own safety. You’re right, though..there probably is a lot more to the story.

The astros fan was being escorted out by security, he must have been doing something wrong.  I read that he was walking up and down the aisle being a jack ass.  Somewhere in the middle is the truth.

  • I think it is wild that a Game 6 in the LCS is being started by two relievers.

I think its a sad statement that 2 100 plus win teams only have 3 starters each.
    This weekend we rock Portland
  • Not a huge shock to note that the Ump behind the plate tonight sucks.

really dumb to throw anything near the plate to Altuve there with a guy on deck who was a defensive replacement.  make the guy who just came into the game beat you, not their best hitter.

and when the DH comes to the National League I might officially out of baseball. between the DH and an utterly insane 14 pitchers used in a 9 inning game the way the game is played today sucks.

There might be a be a new rule next year that a pitcher coming in has to face at least 3 batters (or get 3 outs. I forget) or if there's already 2 outs. Just the final out of that inning. Just so there aren't 5 pitchers to get 3 outs. And in September when the rosters expands. You have to have 26 available to play. The rest healthy scratches like in hockey or basketball.

That new rule(26 Man Roster) wasn't approved already? If so, you just know that 26th player will probably be another Relief Pitcher.

I meant when the roster expands to 40 in September. Instead being able to play all 40 in a game which you can. You have to select the 26 you want to play that game.
