Dick punch of a loss for Atlanta
Ugh. Sucks trading for a guy to shore up the bullpen just to have him fall apart in the playoffs. Got a hill to climb with potentially seeing Flaherty 2 times this series.

don’t know why you wanted him. he blew a save in the Giants game #1 of the 2017 season and it was downhill from there. he was so fucking bad he should have opted out of his $16M/yr deal just to show some class but, of course, he didn’t.

plus, he looks like he should be in the ROTC frat in animal house.

I haven’t watch much Braves baseball this year so I have no idea what kind of relationship Acuna Jr has with his teammates, but they seemed more then willing to throw him under the bus for the loss for not hustling out a hit in the 7th. Seems like a very strange thing to do after a Game 1 loss ....

Even the Brewers were willing to give a rookie who directly lost them a game the benefit of simply making a mistake.

Acuña has previously had questions about his lack of hustle. He was benched in a game earlier this year for doing the same thing. On the one hand, that's just kind of who Acuña is as a player. On the other hand, not running it probably cost the Braves a run, which is huge in the postseason.
Puig was criticized for the same thing.

You watch a HR when you know you hit it 440', not 320'...

I didn't particularly want him. I think they were desperate just to do something at the trade deadline and somehow he was the best option.

I once saw bengie, thrown out at home, trying to score from third on a double.

    j/k but he was sloooooooow.

Thank god I don't have to look at Counsell's sunken in face or Braun's stupid bug-eyed head anymore this year.

I love your brewer hatred. it’s (almost) as intense as my hatred for the motherfucking, cocksucking dodgers.
I don't loathe them like I do the Beershits.  Ugly ass uniforms.

    cubs’ unis are ugly.

    yankees’ too.

astros’ are stellar. even the rays’ aren’t too bad.

Brewers, Marlins, & Diamondbacks have terrible uniforms. There are a few that aren’t bad but also aren’t impressive - Angels, Rangers, Padres (til next year). Everyone else is pretty good. The Cardinals have great uniforms; timeless logo & script. And I always liked the Dodgers as well. The contrasting red number on the front with the Dodger blue script on clean white is a great combination. I love the Giants off-white, works so well with the orange & black. The newer Astros unis are so much better than the Bagwell & Berkman days. Glad they went back to their roots. Cubs and Yankees home pinstripes are simply classic.

I think May's "poop squat" before each pitch gives him the slight edge. =)

Carlos Martinez, you’re a certified fucking loser. Glad you squandered all the talent in the world.

That was a great pitcher's duel through 8 innings. I thought the Cards were going to keep Wainright in until his arm fell off. Shame that either team had to lose that game, but thankful that Martinez blew it!

You know how everyone thinks national announcers hate their team and they really don't?  Well, John Smoltz actually hates the yankees.

You think 1996 goes through his mind every time he sees pinstripes?

Oh yeah. He’s so salty. He said “unfortunately” a couple times last night. Not “unfortunately for the twins that didn’t get through”, he said “unfortunately that didn’t get through”
