Nothing tops a 13 year contract with no trades or options. Smashing contract for Bryce.
No way. Opt out is player gold.

So question. It's 2 AM, my baby girl is sleeping. The bride is travelling for work and I am thinking about baseball, because why not. Tempo has made the point a few times that there are basically zero players (cano and cruz), that are 35 and over who are still good.
Rather than max payrolls, knowing players are more valuable earlier early in their early 20s, maybe they look to go year to year for bigger money. If a Judge has a banana year, since he probably wont have a career at 32, maybe MLB says your base salary at 26 is 6 mil over 600k...Make them bring up vlad at 22 and pay him. Get his best years in MLB. So less long term commitment for teams, but more money up front for production?

Is this in referring to the upcoming labor agreements?
The only one I didn't recognize was Beniquez/Porter. Did a little research and found this picture from the Associated Press. The fight broke out in the 4th inning when the Rangers' Bump Wills was caught in a rundown between 3rd & Home and was knocked down by Royals' catcher Darrell Porter. Benches cleared and several fights broke out. Wills isn't in the picture but apparently Juan Beniquez flew into the melee and was caught in the air by Porter.
After the fights settled, Beniquez came up to bat, singled to center driving in Jim Sundberg giving Texas a 2-0 lead. He then subsequently stole 2nd before Dave May grounded out to end the inning. The Royals would go on to win the game 6-5 in the 10th inning, after blowing a 5-2 lead in the 9th. New favorite t-shirt arrived in the mail today. The greatest baseball fights!
I will never get tired of seeing A. J. Pierzynski getting clocked in the face.
It's a timeless classic! Farnsworth spearing Paul Wilson is on there, too. Someone that works for these guys must be a Cubs fan. They also have a shirt for Zambrano beating up the Gatorade cooler, and a World Series Champions shirt with all the Cubs players portrayed on T206 style baseball cards.

Dude didn't lay a hand on her.
Why does it look like they were just lounging in the middle of a street or alley way or something?
