I'm seeing on facebook that Maddon won MOY. That's the only correct answer here.
cuz it's hard to win with the best players and four #1 type starting pitchers

My votes - Britton AL, Hendricks NL (I know Britton isn't a top 3 finalist, but I would've voted for him) Probably will be - Porcello AL, Lester NL But wouldn't be shocked if - Verlander AL, Scherzer NL

I know Britton had a great year , for what he does, but i really don't like to give the Cy Young to a relief pitcher(starters can't win the Relief pitcher award).
I'll go with Scherzer in the NL & Porcello in the AL(Though, i think the AL will be close w/Verlander, so i'm with you as i won't be shocked if Verlander wins it)

It actually is harder to win when you're expected to. From spring training the cubs were expected to be the best team. The proof is only a few teams that have finished the season with the best record has went on to win the world series
will myself to find a home, a home within myself we will find a way, we will find our place

Kyle Hendricks has been our #4 pitcher for 3 years. He's never been considered an ace, or even a #2. Lackey has never been an ace. So we have 2 aces. The Same amount of aces the Giants and the nationals have.

Have you missed the talk about Kyle all season? And he was moved up to #2 in the playoffs, over reigning CYA Jake "Five Innings" Arrieta. Kyle is the only "ace" we have; he's been our most consistent pitcher the last 3 seasons.

I'm well aware of what Kyle has done this season. But he was no more than a number 4 guy in the seasons prior. I know he's not a home grown product, but he's developed into a great pitcher. He wasn't "bought" like lester was. His numbers in prior seasons are average at best.
Edit: his first year with the cubs was good. Last year, he was average.

Unbelievable. How many times has the guy that led the league in era not won the cy young?
Scherzer led in K & WHIP, 11 of the last 15 to do so have won the Cy Young. Hard to argue him winning it... he also led the league in wins, starts, innings, and k/bb ratio.

Although the last pitcher to lead the league in HR and win the Cy Young was Fergie in 1971. But this year is all about ending droughts, right?
I've never been able to post a picture of a tweet but kate upton tweeted something like "hey baseball writers, I thought I was the only one allowed to fuck justin."

i saw that. freaking awesome. he got 14 1st places votes to 8 for Porcello and 2 writers didn't have Verlander on their ballots at all.
"Hey @MLB I thought I was the only person allowed to f**k @JustinVerlander ?! What 2 writers didn't have him on their ballot?"

My votes - Betts AL, Bryant NL
Probably will be - Betts AL, Bryant NL
But wouldn't be surprised if... Trout AL.
Bryant should be a no-brainer. If he doesn't win, I'm hunting down every fucking writer that voted!
