  • Congrats Rangers. Don't buy any of those ridiculous "ALCS Champions" t-shirts. Ummm, it's American League Champions. Ok that's my rant.

Nice chatter in here. These Yankees guys just can't get over Cliff Lee. :?

When you think about it, no matter who you root for, it's very funny that Texas is in the World Series while the two highest bidders for Cliff Lee's services went out in the first round with the Phillies losing a series partially because Lee couldn't hold a four-run lead.

I think that in essence is why we watch because for all the predictions and chatter in the season about who's going to be in the World Series, you just don't know for the most part until you watch everything unfold on the field.

by the way, this home field thing is stupid. Assuming they win, the Cardinals the wild card winner will get home field in the World Series over a team that won six more games in the regular season.

Hockey does it based on the most points in the regular season and same with the NBA and both have their ass-backward aspects of the way they're run.

Wow, anyone watch Princes post game interview? For the record, not a Brewers fan at all, Cubs fan, and no I don't want the Cubs to over pay for him or Albert next year. Let Theo go to work and fix the mess, cause it will sure take awhile. Build up the farm system, and don't over bid and get another Soriano contract. That being said, what an ahole Prince came across as in his interview. Reality is he probably is gone, but he didn't for one moment look sad about leaving, or not once ever say he wants to be back or would even entertain the though. Just came across as a huge dbag. Any thoughts from Brewers fans. If I was in there shoes I'd be PO'd at Prince.

    selig, bud.

He tried to revive life into a lifeless game. I think we all agree the experiment should be ended. But hey, I don't blame him for trying.

Dude also gave us the wild card, a damn fine success.

People pan the guy a ton, but never give him the credit when it's due.

yes i give him zero credit for having the winner of an all star game, that not even the players care about anymore, determine homefield advantage in the world series.

and it's been this way for going on a decade now. it's absurd.

2 years in a row a player in the world series will be getting a ring regardless of the outcome. Molina last year and Rhodes this year.

And MLB denying the Rangers to have Dirk throw out the first pitch? Really? That's as weak as it gets.

Ha, I'm pulling for the Cards, I think. Rangers are making a lot of money with the last two years runs but winning would put it over the top. That could get scary for the AL, especially considering their low payroll right now.
