MAN I LOVE THROWING GAS ON FIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol::lol:

long story short .... we are getting short changed .... they give about half of those tickets (rows1,2,9,10) to friends and family ... i know someone who has 4 tickets to MSG 1 & 2 and hartford ... IN ROW TWO DEAD CENTER ..... and im sorry to say i will be going with said person to one of the shows .....

and depending on the venue ..they invite more or less ... but you guessed it .. MSG gets the most invites out of any stop on the tour
.

try and beat that with a bat ..hahahahahah

I was lucky enough to have gotten 2nd row seats through the 10club when the band played near Portland last year. Was very happy...i have a pretty low member number. It was my brothers first pearl jam concert (my 4th) and we were both really happy and the band was great that night.

we really cant complain either way.

i have a higher number and im happy that i got 10c tix for newark and msg 1 i also got night 2 through tm

im happy cause either way im there..and usually 10c no matter what hooks you up with the best they can seat wise..plus that tiny tiny chance of hitting the lottery..and the fact that i dont have to dish out hundred of dollars on a pair like i did in 08 when everything good was soldout and i was not a member at the time

Come to Europe and have GA entry, no need to worry about where your seats are, where friends and family of the band are...just thinking about the amazing time you're having surrounded by friends and feeling the bass hitting inside your chest :D

I am sure they were reserving seats in ten club sections during the pre-lottery days, too.

One will always find a divergence of opinion on this issue, folks. There are some who believe the lottery system is fair and others who do not; and there are those who feel that the issue can be discussed more as a grey area than just black or white. I just think it is great that the folks who win the lottery can gloat, either inwards or outwards, at their fortune and stick it to those who did not win. What makes it even more fun is that you only know on the day of the show whether you have won the lottery or not - it makes winning it even sweeter.

i would think friends and family of the band have a lower number then all of us and would be considered part of the ten club inner circle. thus they sit up front.

stop complaining about your seats. omg i was only in the 11th row. tell that to the guy in the upper deck who loves the bands music more then some "right" to a great seat. get over it.

how about your go start a band and then tell your friends and family to sit in the upper deck.

Really.. in the end, it's just a band. I don't believe this band does everything right, but I don't believe they do everything wrong. It is what it is, and I've come to the conclusion that taking an impartial stance on matters such as these is the best way to go about it, as the Ten Club have their heads underwater and cannot or will not take advice.

i think i gotta disagree with the end of what you said cause i believe the lottery is around because they listened to fans that were never going to be upfront because they joined the 10c recently or just have a high member number. i think they listen.

i'll be honest and do take it the wrong way ...... BUT YOUR OUT OF YOUR MIND for getting so mad about 11th row seats .... my 10c number is 132,ish and i only get as close as the 14th row ....... i can see if you get pushed to the back of the floor ...sure go an yell all you want ..... but cmon man its the 11th row ...AND YOU ONLY PAID 160-190 FOR THE PAIR ....... EASY $1,000 per seat for any other band as big ......

im my OP i was trying to clear up some issues ... and what im telling you is the FACTS... straight from the horses mouth ...the better the venue the more people they invite...the more people invite the less 10c fans sit in rows 1,2,9,10 .... the less 10c members sitting in rows 1,2,9,10 they angrier some of you get..... they should have told everyone that they keep some tickets for friends an family .. JUST TO COVER THERE ASS .. and to help with this giant issue we have been having for the past few tours....

once again i can care less what they do with tickets ..AS LONG AS THEY KEEP THEM CHEAP ... and $200 for a pair of 15th row seats IS PLENTY CHEAP FOR ME ... hell i would be happy with spending $400 a pair

I think the lottery is great and that the Ten Club is thinking about new members or the younger generation who are just discovering music and falling in love with Pearl Jam.

When I told my 14 yr old son that Pearl Jam was touring he was instantly asking if I would get tickets. He knows my fan club seats would be better than his, but some day he will be going to shows by himself. Having a chance to win the lottery, no matter how small, is the only way he'd ever get close with such a high number.

Of course Pearl Jam will use some seats for family and friends! Why not? And it is still a business, so some have to go to the venue or brokers. But.........some are just for us!!!!! For that I am grateful! :D

(And it would be cool to experience the GA in Europe, IMHO!)

I agree that the lottery is a great idea...But, from what I have seen and heard...It isn't all random lottery...Seen the same two fans win the lottery front row two nights in a row and same seats pretty much...If your going to do a lottery for fan club members?...At least do it right....I am up for the the fans with not so great fan numbers having a chance to upgrade with the lottery...I really don't care if I win the lottery or not?....I have a pretty good fan club number....Just at least make it fair...I see nothing wrong reserving a few seats for friends and family...But, do all the others random...

I think the ten club actually does some random lottery winners for the rows...But, also think the ten club actually hand picks some fans to win the lottery...Oh well..What can you do about it?...I am just fortunate enough to been a lucky fan with good fan club number..

This is the real issue. I agree that there does seem to be decidely nonrandom preferential treatment by 10C for some reason.

That said, I've been front row for PJ 10+ times and I earned it each time. They should have the floor be GA in the US and then it can be about who wants it the most.

I just can't see pearl jam ever doing general admission for regular shows in the U.S...Besides maybe a few hand selected ones in smaller venues...

Ten club needs to restate those emails that they send us....Some of the 1st row, 2nd row, 9th row and 10th row are randomly picked.. The rest are random winners....If they would state that?....I would understand some fans being hand picked to win the lottery..But, until they do that?....I say that it isn't really a random lottery...Which the fan club clearly states...I know for a fact the guy who was front row two nights in row..Won the lottery both nights...How do I know this?..Because he told me straight up..

it amazes me how many people are unable to deal in reality

why is it so hard to understand that the band calls the shots... if they want their sisters housekeeper to sit 2nd row... then he's going to sit... take a guess....

    cmon you can do it.....

    think LOGICALLY.....

THAT'S RIGHT!!! IN THE FUCKIN 2ND ROW!!!! YAAAYYY ... GOOD JOB TIMMY!!!

that's not that hard to figure out is it???

The Lottery is a gift from the band.... they're the ones that decide how much of a gift they are giving ... and that's fine... it's a gift...

there is no contract that states what this lottery is

they create the lottery to give fans a chance up front... and i would say there are thousands of fans who are beyond thankful for that chance... hundreds of fans HAVE WON... that is a fact

the sense of entitlement that people have really baffles me... i truly hope that the band doesn't read this forum... or if they do it's filtered for them so they can read the logical posts

i have no problem with people sharing an opinion ... good or bad

but the bitching gets so out of hand that it's no wonder most PJ fans have given up on this board and instead stick to RM or facebook or whatever

and just to be clear... joe36912 - you started this thread just to rile people up? you're benefitting from the bands generosity and so you pay them back by coming on here and sharing some information that could be considered insider?? really??

how would you feel if the band took back your friends 4 tix to msg I & 2 & hartford?

like me who will be in sect 320 through TM. so take your 11th or 12th row, so :shh: and enjoy the show.

btw i would think the bands family/friends would be sitting/hanging back stage or on the side of the stage.
