Question says it all really - curious to see if one is more sucessful than another - paranoia is starting to set in before round 2....

  • After being shut out with IE for MSG1, I downloaded Firefox and was able to get MSG2.

It wasn't a much better experience, but the outcome was much better. Overall, though, this was one of the most miserable experiences I've had in a long time.

MSG1 - thru IE, no issues, bought by 12:03
MSG2 - harrowing! tried thru IE and mozilla...ultimately, finally got thru and purchased thru mozilla about 2:30ish? whew!

in the past, all my ticket buying experiences, successful thru IE. it's all a crapshoot really i think.
    Stay with me...

NO MSG 1, but got MSG 2.

Tried a different strategy for MSG 2 though.

Yep I did that for MSG1 and got nowhere too - think spliting my attention between them and the Pit for info didn't help. IE wouldn't even load page for MSG2 but i did finally get through using Firefox and got tickets - so (for me at least) the winner is Firefox! yeaa :)

Got MSG1 and MSG2 with Firefox. I disable images and java so that the page loads much faster. Not as pretty but it gets the job done.

That's worth remembering for another time - although I hope we don't have another ticket sale like that one - EVER :o

  • I used IE for MSG 1 and got them at 12:22 after a lot of refreshing the temporarily out of stock page.

I used IE and Firefox for MSG 2 and thought it was much worse than MSG 1. The site completely crashed for me at 1:59 on both browsers and didnt come back until around 2:35. I ended up getting the MSG 2 tickets on IE, but Firefox loaded right after.

I agree, its all a crapshoot and luck of the draw. I dont think one is better than the other.
