Thanks for not telling me my membership expired last week.

I'm not a habitual complainer, but thanks a lot. Arrrgghh.

By the way, I found out while trying to check out for Newark tix. Blerg.
I shit and I stink. I'm real, join the club.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

    It's up to you to have that up to date man. and you definitely gotta check up on it when things like tours come around. you can only blame yourself.

    Exactly. Do you need people to tell you when to pay your bills and go to work? It's just personal responsibility. I feel bad that it happened to you, but it really is up to you to know this stuff.

    yeah that's tough for him but if he was smart he'd renew right now. I think there is a grace period you can have an expired membership before you lose your number. Mine expired once in 2001 (I didn't get that Christmas single) but when I did renew, I got my number back. This kid I know had a great number that used to get him 5th row tickets. he forgot to renew one time and now he's 400XXX

    When the tour announcement was issued, and it said you need to be an active member, that might've been a good time to check your expiration date. I think I looked at mine like 3 times to be safe. :)

    Whoa, I so didn't know you could buy years ahead. Mine expires July 22nd, and my birthday is in June, so I remember, EVERY BIRTHDAY.....I MUST RENEW!

    I haven't missed yet, and I've been a member for like 10yrs now.

    Hope you can get your number back!

    that shit happen to me last year, cost me to miss out on the vic. i feel your pain, it's only human to forget with all the virtual accounts we all have. They should send an email...

    This is probably a dumb question, but how do you do that? Do you just pay the amount times how many years you want? I would totally do that.

    It really is our responsibility to track this ourselves. I feel bad for the bad luck of the original poster, but in the end he made a mistake and mistakes have consequences. One positive is that he/she will learn from this mistake. I wish him/her some good karma from a ten club member with an extra.

    kudos to those (like me) who typically pay dues far earlier than necessary.
    There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

    I thought about buying my son's tell 2020 incade he forgets, but not sure the guys will be playing into there 50's?

    I think they will be...

    At the time of Riot Act's release, Ed said something to the effect of "Pearl Jam is only half over"... so I really think they have big plans to stay together for as long as possible... or until (god forbid) a member dies... I can't see them replacing anyone... I think they would call it quits if that happened.... if we get another 5-6 albums I would not be surprised.

    I put a note on my daily calender every year the day I get it. I expire in November, what exact day, I don't know or care. November 1st rolls into town and I re-up. Every year for the last.....13 years.
