NO MORE HOLIDAY SINGLE?!?! WTF it's almost MAY???

I just renewed my membership and instead of saying "HOLIDAY SINGLE" they are calling it a "AN ANNUAL GIFT"... Does that mean NO MORE VINYL???

This is not cool ED, STONE, JEFF, MIKE and MATT and lets not forget you as well CURTS!!!

This is the email i got from TC...

    If you do the math... You say it is cheaper to make DVD then press 55,000 45's?

    Well $20.00 Membship Fee X 55,000 members = 1,000000

    How about both?

    What about this. DVD torrents? Won't cost Pearl Jam a thing. No production on making the discs, shipping the discs & using goods. Just upload the video (edited video) onto the pc. Get a torrent tracker. And let all paying 10club member's get a crack @ the download(s).

    Someday I hope they take this path. Easy on the planet. Easy on our pockets. Easy for everyone! :)

    lol. all that money isnt allocated to the single. they have rent, insurance, a staff to pay, websites to maintain, etc. all i'm saying is that it would be a nice change of pace and would definitely be cheaper. thats all. and i'm quite sure that the recession is affecting 10c merch sales so...

    I wonder how much if any of the membership fee goes to producing the singles? My understanding was that the singles were promotional items (which is why the return address back in the Sony days was always the sony promo department, why even now they give the old ones away for free and don't sell them, and why they get distributed to radio stations). I always figured that the singles were paid for from the bands promotional budget, the same way those posters you see in CD stores when new albums come out are paid for.

    That said I have been wondering when the 2009 single is going to show up. Anyone remember when we got the 2008 one?

    What exactly are they protecting people from? Every time I have ever bought tickets from ticketmaster it has been super easy and their it sounds like people who buy from the goods section can't say the same thing.

    Ok, I was just trying to get an answer about the Holiday Single that was a part of the Membership Fee...

    I remember it used to be called Christmas Single then Holiday Single now ANNUAL GIFT!

    Do we still get the single as part of being in the Fanclub?

    I have been a member of the Fanclub since 1996 and really have no issues with the band! I am just a little confused???

    Everybody's been bitching since Christmas '09 for the single when they just received last year's ('08) single starting in May '09. Gotta love the greed in the community! Plus the non stop bitching! Bitch after the year anniversary, after May 9th 2010 date. Go nuts on the boards! That, I could understand cause it's been over a year since the release of last year's 7" vinyl. But for alot climbing the walls the past few months' for it, sweet moses!
