My Morning Jacket

Ended up at night 3. This band is just phenomenal when it comes to live music. Run Thru->Fairies wear boots -> Run thru was jaw dropping. 3 straight days of work then shows on 3-4 hours of sleep was worth every pain, every ache and the exhaustion. Just so many highlights from all three nights. What a fucking run. If I HAD to pick or recommend a boot to pick up, I’d probably say night 2 was my favorite.0

No vocals, just the beginning with all the riffs on bass. I don’t remember hearing any guitar. That whole Cobra-bell tolls-Cobra was another insane moment from these shows.eeriepadave said:nicknyr15 said:
First two nights were incredible. Not sure I could physically make tonight. The wife and I are considering it though! Enjoy!CROJAM95 said:Might have an extra GA for tonight… had a few back out, rather find someone to chill with.. will know by 4pm
Wow, those set lists looked incredible! Kinda interested in hearing their cover of "For Whom the Bell Tolls". I'll have to look that up on youtube later.0 -
Another thing, every song from Is sounded incredible. Can’t say that for some of the more recent albums. They all got really great crowd reactions and I can see them becoming live favorites down the road.0

Head over Heels felt like NYE jam .. was so cool
i didnt bother going in the pit… got there late and was surprised at how packed n tight it was.. hung in the bar lounge in the back, made some friends.. sat on the wall most of the show.. no complaints here. Went into the city for a drink and billiards after… beautiful day today… fortunate to see them whenever they come around
foil poster is beautiful… snagged one after the show0 -
Damn…. Waiting for the boots to show up on Nugs. Seems all three Brooklyn shows were skipped over. Any info on this?0

Same with their August shows at Red Rocks...no idea why those aren't on Nugs.8-29-00 Mansfield, 6-29-03 Montreal, 7-2-03 Mansfield, 7-3-03 Mansfield, 7-11-03, Mansfield, 9-28-04 Boston, 9-29-04 Boston, 10-8-04 Kissimmee, 9-15-05 Montreal, 9-16-05 Ottawa, 5-12-06 Albany, 5-13-06 Hartford, 5-24-06 Boston, 5-25-06 Boston, 6-28-08, Mansfield, 6-30-08 Mansfield, 5-15-10 Hartford, 5-17-10 Boston, 7-19-13 Chicago, 10-15-13 Worcester, 5-2-16 New York City, 8-5-16 Boston, 8-7-16 Boston

If true it's a goddamn shame because the Run Thru/Fairies Wear Boots night 3 was in my top tier of Jacket moments0

Yes that was incredible. I only went night 3 and had a blast. I took less videos than usual because I thought I will have the boots anyway.pjl44 said:If true it's a goddamn shame because the Run Thru/Fairies Wear Boots night 3 was in my top tier of Jacket moments

This happens with many NYC venues. I seem to recall the Beacon having a similar policy. I have also noticed more and more artists skipping NYC venues. Must be the cost.0

Hmm I have the boots for all MMJ shows at the Beacon going back years.Get_Right said:This happens with many NYC venues. I seem to recall the Beacon having a similar policy. Maybe not MMJ, but definitely other bands. Bob Weir for instance, one of the most recording friendly artists ever. I see the Foos are also skipping New York. I have seen this more and more.0 -
So disappointing! Really wanted to hear that version of Run Thru again!Get_Right said:SVRDhand13 said:

It was killer! I feel like it’s becoming slightly more rare these days too so we were so stoked to get it.SVRDhand13 said:

Hadn’t really thought about it but you’re right. I did 5 shows this year and didn’t see it.nicknyr15 said:

Damn anyone at the Chicago show last night? Another incredible looking setlist0
-
I was literally just telling that to my wife. They’re on top of their game right now imo. Setlist wise, performance wise , plus a new album that mostly sounds fantastic live. It’s a shame they’ll be very light on touring next year.pjl44 said:
It's crazy how after 3 nights in Brooklyn I could have gone to that and heard another 9 or 10 unique songsnicknyr15 said:Damn anyone at the Chicago show last night? Another incredible looking setlist0
