What times do you think GC Jr & MMJ will hit the stage Friday at Merriweather? Is MMJ really hitting the stage by 8:15 every night? I like an early start!!!

My cousin is going to the Baltimore show tomorrow night as well (as it seems a number of people on here are going to as well). I'm super jealous! It's going to be a great show (with a great opener).

Find out the venue curfew, then subtract 2.5hrs or so.  They were on at 7:30 sharp for a 10pm curfew in Portland.

They did have "tubes" in Cincy & Cleveland...
but they were the smallest and flimsiest tubes I've ever seen.

I think an empty paper towel roll would've given more protection!

I forgot my soft waterproof "tube" at home.  Given the high probability of rain, i'm going to pass tonight.

First, I'm glad I got there early as MMJ came on a little after 740. Seemed like a 930 curfew. They played until 9:45.

Venue: if I lived in Vermont I would go to every show I could. I didn't deal with the parking lot after reading it is a nightmare getting out, and parked in the neighborhood adjacent which alot of people seemed to do.

On a sloping lawn, Great atmosphere, lots of lawn chairs, blankets, kids. Everyone has room and it seemed like I could have walked up to the stage as far as I wanted. Great crowd. Venue capacity is 3,000 and it seemed about that. About an hour in, the sun was going down and the views behind the stage are tremendous and the band started picking up steam.

Once inside, no merch line (imagine that PJ loyalists!). About 7-8 food trucks. No long lines really. The Skinny Pancake had a truck and I highly recommend if your in the Burlington area to check it out. Tasty.

Show: like I said 2 hrs, opened with Steam Engine, which I think had something to do with JJ later referencing the steam ship, before and during Wonderful, that is a part of the Shelburne Museum. He talked about seeing the ship and being startled by it. He wondered what aliens might think in thousands of years if they were to come upon it. He likened it to when he was a kid and saw a big bag of chips or something in a supermarket. Then during Wonderful he held the last note extremely long and it actually started to sound like a tugboat noise. So the museum certainly seemed to have an affect on him.

The A New Life>Tropics>State of the Art was a highlight for me.

All of the Circuital songs sounded amazing  with First Light and Outta My System standing out. Both jams were noticeably shortened though.

This was about show 25 for me and I think it's the first with no covers, all MMJ.

Have fun in Maryland tonight. See u in NY

Ps- no tubes sold at the show.

parking for Merriweather is gonna be weird  It's free and all.  but you had to pick a lot and they have certain times you can park there.  Like i'm in lot 2 which opens at 6pm.  some open at 4:30 and also 5.  I could try for another lot ot just stick this one out.  oh well.

Does it state what time the lots open on the parking tickets? I haven't looked at mine

I doubt they turn people away if they arrive early? Haven't been down this season so I haven't used the new parking system yet

Glad no one took me up on the ticket offer as all flights in and out of the DC area are on hold due to weather. No show for me.

It only rained enough to almost wet the sidewalk.  It is so humid it's steamy.

Okay so now that I know it didn't rain much and that the GA pit is tiny, is there any way you could update the set list by song to prolong the pain by the minute? I kid I kid.

There is a chance I might not be able to make it tomorrow night, and will have two tickets I can't use. Not the best seats, but let me know if anyone is interested, free.

That tiny pit was oversold by a few hundred.  I left it for the lawn.
