Interesting... Baba was tuned a half step down unlike it's usual E standard tuning.
More and more songs are being played tuned down... kinda sad.
However, that is totally totally awesome of Ed & Mike and it must have been amazing to be there!! I'd love to hear Oh Coco.

a few glitches but overall sounded great to me..Ed rocked it
It's sad because Ed can't hit the high notes anymore, so they are playing a whole bunch of songs with the guitars & bass tuned down. Life Wasted, Force of Nature, The Fixer, Blood, and many more... songs that until a couple years ago were played in standard tuning (well not the new ones). It's a trick bands use so the vocals don't have to reach quite as high. Cigarettes will do that to you over time. Ed is struggling to sing songs that should not be difficult to sing (Red Mosquito on ACL for example). Then, this leads to stuff like Marker in the Sand in Australia or whatever, where everyone was playing in a different key and it sounded like crap cause no one knew what was going on.

Yep, I noticed that too.
When Mike first started I was thinking "Why isn't he stopping...clearly a tech screwed up the tuning". Then he kept going.
For Baba, I'm certain it was more to do with Conan's band than Mike or Ed.
Oh well, still badass IMO.
