Over on the Soundgarden boards

Why does everyone over there come off as so elitist, im not a member of the board but was reading through parts of it and was really turned off by the fan base. Im not saying Pearl Jam fans are better, and I am a fan of both bands, but why are they coming off as "holier than thou" especially related to Pearl Jam, even though both bands rose out of the same scene, are friends with one another,share a drummer, and share mods and mailing address?

As a younger fan ive never gotten to see Soundgarden, but if that is how the fan base really is i may be turned off to try and see them.

and don't think this board doesn't have elitist fucks on here. you ever see some of the people on the porch. 2 weeks ago i got told to quit being a fan cause i listed 5 "hits" as songs i don't like. i could bring up other things but you get the picture.

maybe i'll start posting on the SG board and see what it's like to be around fans who actually like the rares song. the sg board went into orgasm mode in the setlist thread when the rare songs were being played. if pj played a song like whale song or driftin people on here would be like why not play betterman or evenflow instead.

bullshit. there are as many rarity hogs here as anywhere on the planet. i couldnt care less about a songs rarity, myself. i like what i like.
