I had ordered the Wilco and Flaming Lips from their respective websites (both are still available) so I wouldn't have to worry about it, but I was fortunate to get the others I wanted which were the R.E.M., Pavement, Neko Case, and Soundgarden vinyl.
i got to my local record store 15 min before they opened and there was already a line, it wasn't like that in the state i lived in last year. luckily they had let some of the regulars put in a request for things leaving a certain % for the rest of of the customers. so, i wasn't able to get either muse or the pavement and they were gone pretty quickly.
but i managed to get
julian casablancas 7" the a-side was good but didn't really care for the b-side
ted leo & the pharmacists 7"
dave matthews & steven (?) reynolds 7" not a dmb fan but i did like this
gorillaz 10" blah!! especially considering they haven't mentioned any plans to release the new album on vinyl could've easily passed on this after hearing it
black keys 12"
MGMT 12" haven't listened to this yet, is this the single they released online not that long ago?
flaming lips haven't listened to it yet but heard it online a while ago
hendrix at clark university - they dropped the interviews that's on the cd version from the 90's and was a reasonable price for 5 songs but haven't listened to it yet but heard the cd when that came out, mainly been listening to
Wilco kicking television
did anyone get the lennon single set? it didn't seem worth it for the price
don't compete; coexist
what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?
"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank." - Barack Obama
when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'
i was thinkin 'death before dishonor'
