by the fact that columbus, st. louis, kansas city, etc. are not only NOT sold out, but not even CLOSE to sold out?
i'm telling everybody i know in columbus to go, but it'll be a bit embarrassing if mighty pearl jam can't even sell 80% of the seats.

Don't worry about it. It'll be whatever it is.
They waited until the last minute to announce the show.
If it doesn't sell out, maybe next time they will give people more advance notice?! (!!!)&&&&&&&&&&&&&&0 -
Yes, and no.
If it is not sold out, a better chance of me getting a good seat. It is a weeknight, which sucks. An indoor show at that time of year? An outdoor show would be a bit better.
However, if they don't sell it out, hopefully that won't mean they won't return...we want them back.
It seems like in Columbus, a lot of the remaining seats are in the upper level, in the back, so i'm not too concerned.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -
Don't waste your time and energy on frivolous things.
Bon Jovi and Kid Rock sold out Soldiers Field 2 nights in a row this summer.
Who cares? I'm going to see my favorite band and they are seeing theirs. I will probably go to theirs as well. It's all good.0 -

Maybe Grand Rapids should be a more frequent stop in the Midwest, couple of very solid shows here in the pastRFK 6/13/98 -Tibetan Freedom, Pittsburgh 8/25/98, Merriweather Post 9/4/00, Grand Rapids 10/03/04 - MoveOn.org, Palace of Auburn Hills 5/22/06, Grant Park 8/05/07 - Lollapalooza, Verizon Center, DC 6/22/08, Chicago 8/22/08 - EDDIE, Baltimore 6/14/09 - EDDIE, United Center 8/23/09, Verizon Wireless 5/7/100

I used to worry about these things however my second favorite band, The Manic Street Preachers came to detroit last year & I was so concerned there would be noone there. Well there were only 75 people there & the show still kicked ass. So Ive learned to say who cares how many people show up.
As to Detroit being a bigger draw than some of these other cities that havent sold out. I dont know if i agree with that. On the 2006 tour the Palace had the 3 sections furthest from the stage curtained off. However I think this had to do with the Grand Rapids show being three days earlier. I think that took some of the draw away from the Palace show.
All in all who cares what the turnout is the show will most likely still kick ass & it could be Matt Camerons last shows with the band leaving the door open for a Jack Irons return!0 -

I do think it was sold out, as far as how many seats they were actually selling.Save room for dessert!0 -
Last time in Detroit, 2006 at the Palace, they did not come close to selling out and put up the black curtain in the upper bowl opposite the stage. Great show, but not a sell out. The days of Pearl Jam selling out 20,000 seat venues in the Midwest (outside of Chicago) are probably over. Doesn't mean they still shouldn't hit these cities.Cavstarr313 wrote:Should have came to Detroit..0

I have to say that STL and Columbus dont bother me... but KC... wow...
KC sec 106 row 6
stl 305 row b
col 203 N
Those are what you can pull for pairs right now. STL and Columbus are both upper deck, but row 6 of 106 is insane to be able to pull like that!
Crazy... I am now quite anxious to see my TC seats!0 -
