Thanks! After napping this morning I actually do feel better. Well that and now I've taken 3 doses of my antibiotic. I can not believe I have strep throat! SO glad I finally went to the Dr so I didn't spread it all over the midwest. After tomorrow I am no longer contagious!

Strep throat! No, we don't want that spread all over the midwest! Glad you got some meds and glad you are feeling better!

Remind me again of the stuff you are bringing for the party. I'm making a list of what I need to dig for/buy prior to Monday...
I feel so much better tonight. I've been on my antibiotics for 24 hours now and the difference already is amazing! In 24 more hours I won't be contagious, so that is really wonderful

Let me know what you have and what I should bring. I thought I saw that someone posted somewhere they were bringing raffle tickets? I have some name tags, I can always run by Office Depot to pick up more if you don't have any. I can bring my cashbox and my assortment of Sharpies if you want me to bring them. I actually kept meaning to pm you this week to see what I should bring. Just let me know, I plan to start packing int eh next day or so.

PJ flipflops would be good, except that it may be a bit cool that day according to the extended weather forecast. And yes, I have been watching Kansas City weather forecasts for the last couple of days. How else would I know what to pack? :D

Oh yeah, and bring a raincoat. In fact, maybe Pearl Jam galoshes would be better.

ooooo PJ flip flops would be amazing!!
Speaking of weather.. I'm driving up from Austin, through Oklahoma and Kansas and the thought of seeing a tornado scares the hell out of me.. I know you can't predict those and I've looked at the weather and it seems all sunny and junk, but do they happen often in that area this time of year?I'm just overly paranoid and have never been to that area before..

Toronadoes do happen this time of year, but you can usually avoid them by car. We're driving from Denver, so the thought has also crossed my mind. Last time I drove back from MO there was a tornado warning in some small town north of I-70 in KS. You could see the dark sky that way, but we just moved through ASAP and all was good. Just tune your radio to AM if you notice dark skies in the area and you'll be fine.

I've lived in Oklahoma for almost 28 years and I've only seen one tornado that wasnt even fully formed yet. You've be lucky to see one.

That sounds pretty cool, but way too tame for me. We are going to the World War I Museum. Can you say PARTEE! Really, I want to go to the World War I Museum.

Ha! My wife was looking at stuff we might be able to do while there and said "I like museums but that one looks too boring even for me." :) Have fun though!

Has anyone been to the "College Basketball Experience" (or something like that) AT the Sprint Center? I guess it's like a museum type thing on NCAA Basketball. $12 a person. Wife was interested in that one, maybe.

Got it. I did Google Pat Green and saw he was doing a show there so figured it had something to do with that. So did you know that you were going to be KC for this when they announced the PJ shows?

I haven't been there for about 15 years but when I was there in high school it was pretty interesting. I don't think there's that much to see there, but it's worth checking out. Then again, they may have added some things since I've been there.

there are a lot of great local art galleries in Kansas City....I think my sister (she lives there) is showing at the Blue Gallery right now if you want to check it out. ;) Man, I wish we were making the KC/STL shows!!!

Also, for really good bar food, go to either The Peanut or The Flea Market. Great food, super fresh Boulevard on tap.

MMMmmmmm, Boulevard. It's been my new fave beer for a few months now. Really dig the single-wide. Wish the brewery was doing tours...
