I'm sorry I had to make another request thread, but I had to. I was listening to the Seattle 2 2000 boot (one of my favorites) and when I heard them play the -Man trilogy, I had to make a thread and see if anyone else would like to hear the trilogy.

Also a perfect reason to play "Leatherman" in CT...the Leatherman made his rounds in CT and spent most of his time in CT. C'mon Ed! You read the book, you know you guys have to play "Leatherman" in Hartford. It would be perfect. You even recommended the book to us to read. Plus the book is called The Old Leather Man: Historical Accounts of a Connecticut and New York Legend . You have to, you just have to.

Plus "Nothingman" and "Better Man" are awesome.

    Awesome.

I just think it would be perfect for them to play "Leatherman" in CT since that's where he spent most of his time.

  • and rubberbandman

"The Rubberband Man" is a song recorded by the American vocal group The Spinners (known as "Detroit Spinners" in the UK).

The song, written by producer Thom Bell and Linda Creed, was about Bell's son, who was being teased by his classmates for being overweight. Intended to make his son feel better about his self-image, the song eventually evolved from being about "The Fat Man" to "The Rubberband Man". [1]

The last major hit by the Spinners to feature Philippé Wynne on lead vocals, "The Rubberband Man" spent three weeks at number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and topped the U.S. R&B chart at the end of 1976. [2]. It was also a top-twenty hit in the UK Singles Chart.

The song was sung by Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter in a Season 4 episode of The Muppet Show. In the 1981 film Stripes, the song is featured in the mud wrestling club the platoon visit. During an episode of Martin, Gina sings the tagline of the song after informing Martin that she has reorganized his music CDs. In the early 2000s, the song was featured prominently in a series of OfficeMax television commercials starring actor Eddie Steeples.

The song is used at Wrigley Field when Chicago Cubs setup man Carlos Marmol is entering the game.
