At the time they were getting ready to do the show, did everyone (the fans) know that it was going to be the way it was? Did they come out and say 'an acoustic night with Pearl Jam' or something to that nature? Or was it assumed that it would be based on the size of the Hall. Or were people expecting them to come out and rock the hell out of the place? IF you were expecting a hard rocking night, and got what Benny did, I would be very pleased.
i.e. was it known that it would be an epic night before it happened?
And did we know it was going to be a release at that time?
These are just some thoughts that I think of every time I listen to it.

I would guess that, given the venue and its reputation, it was at least assumed to be an acoustic and/or epic show. As to whether or not the release was planned beforehand, I don't know, but they did record it so they must have at least planned to release it as a "regular" bootleg...
